The true Church of Jesus Christ

I know that what I say about the Church Jesus set up isn't being heard by very many people. It is just too big a jump from where we are now to where I say we should be. I do believe that one day that will be the only Church on this earth. It will be run by Jesus Himself with the Anointing of the Holy Spirit in charge of the teaching. It will probably be after we have died and received our new bodies but I believe that is exactly what Heaven will be and I also believe it will be right here on this Earth. Some things point in this direction. One is why would we be given a new perfect body if we were not going to live here on Earth? If we were not going to live on earth then a Spirit body would be plenty. I don't expect people to believe me but I do ask you to check it out for yourself.

Well, I have to say," I think its a Crock!" there is nothing in this world, or the next that would point a Thinking Human in this direction. If there were any hard facts associated with this theory, we would see proofs being sent. There would be some sort of direction, something new, supported by new-age facts. Only an Imbecile would believe the impossible, with nothing factual for support.

Jesus Christ never started a Church! perhaps he mentioned it but it was only a shot in the dark. The Christian Church has been around for 2000 years, has started, and caused countless wars, murdered millions out of greed and fear, and has been an utter failure. Don't you think its time to give up Christianity and take up something, anything at all, that endorses peace and happiness in Humankind?

Bare, There is one huge fact you are over looking. The fact this entire world continues to decay is proof positive that we are not doing something right. The churches are packed every week and the people continuing to have far too many problems that they can't solve. They sit and watch while their loved ones die powerless to do anything to prevent it. I don't think this is what God and Jesus had in mind when Jesus went to the cross. I do thank you for calling me an imbecile. I'll just chalk that up to your ignorance of God's real truth and go on about my business.

Jesus did start a Church. Matthew chapter 16 verse 18. "Upon this rock I will build MY Church". That was His promise and He didn't promise anything that He didn't full fill. You just gave another fact that supports what I say. That is proof positive the way we are practicing Christianity isn't working. If we were doing it the way Jesus set it up a lot of the wars and killing would stop.

Matthew 28:19-20 (New International Version)
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
To whom do you think that Jesus is saying that he would be with them until the end of the age? Would it not be his church? If that is the case then he would have people on earth at any time that would be following his ways to his satisfaction. I believe there is such a church on earth right now. What do you think?

I guess my question would be, exactly what happened to the church Jesus set up and why did it happen? I think there is two main reasons the church that Jesus set up no longer exists. First, if you do it the way Jesus set ir up it sure isn't easy. Second and probably most important if you do it the way Jesus set it up it doesn't pay a profit. I believe that is what killed Jesus' church.

ethanonthemoon, thank you for agreeing with me that the church (that is those who follow his teachings) that Jesus began when on earth still exists today. Jesus did say 'seek and you will find.' If one hasn't found it, then one might have to look a bit more.

That's true 1hopefulman. That's what I'm going to cite.
Arkie, Jesus promised that if you "seek and you shall find". The true church is still there, you just have to seek and look for it. That is a promise you have to hold on to.
