Last Friday when I was at was at work, one of my co-teachers said that time is already running out, and I continued her line by singing one of the Christian songs that goes this way: "Time is running out Jesus is coming soon Keep on the firing line." After my song, suddenly everybody said, "Ohhhh please Madam Fran; not yet because we are not ready." Then they all laughed. I was actually unaware about the song, but at least the song reminded everyone about judgment day when everyone will soon face Jesus and receive the former's own reward.

Christianity is not a bed of roses, it is filled with painful obstacles adn hurdles that one has to overcome. We fall almost everyday or infact i fall almost everyday.I hope to see my maker and i would love to spend my time in eternity with him. But sometimes looking at the things around and happening and falling into sin i just tell myself i am not ready but am trying to be prepared to see him. "Help me Lord to say no to this carnal world, i wanna be with you"...

Yes I agree with you that Christianity is not a bed of roses but we are to always be vigilant, pray at all times and have confidence that Jesus will take us home. We all sin everyday but that's why we have the blood of Jesus to cover our sins and guilt, we can boldly say we are righteous because of his grace. Remember God does not look at you according to your sins but he looks at the state of your heart. So have confidence and believe that you are ready everyday.. dont let fear and doubt cloud you into believing you're not ready. As long as you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour then you are already ready! Just take one day at a time and make sure he is always top priority in your life...

Hi, Well said. i totally agree to you as well. I am certainly working towards the finish line each day at a time. I always get inspired by King David. He had so many concubines, fell in and out of sin. But the Lord still said that he was the man after his heart. I have to agree with you that God looks at the heart more, and by his grace we are save. King David of infact anyone is not worthy enough, But by his grace we are what we are.

Hello to both of you! At times, I also tell myself that I am not ready yet; nevertheless, the good book reminds us of the power of the blood of Jesus Christ given to us over the power of sin. Satan operates through suggesting into our mind that we are not worthy to become God's children, for we are sinners. But then again, this is a lie. Therefore, let us continue getting ready by praying always in the spirit and giving glory to His Name...Blessings!

Hello there. He's riding in chariots of fire "on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. the great trumpet will sound, and He will send out His angels to the four corners of the earth, and they will gather His chosen people from one end of the world to the other." Matthew 24: 30-31

Well the bible clearly tell us no one knows us the hour or time when Jesus would arrive.......we have to keep ourselves alert and prepared......it also goes on explaining an example where Jesus stay if a person knew that a robber is going to rob his home, will he not be prepared ???? we need to keep ourselves prepared and alert........read the bible, do what it says and you will certainly not be afraid of anything.......but at the same time i feel the way to heaven is very narrow so don't expect it to be a cake walk.......Christianity is like walking on sand.......but don't worry the bible says......."whoever holds out to the end will be saved" God bless you !!!!!

Indeed I go with you John that we do not need to worry because God always keeps His promises, and one of them is telling us that when we hold out to the end then we will be saved. God bless as well:)

Hi tompinaii! You are truly right that signs of of His second coming are already present. Thus, this should let us become more sober in guarding ourselves against Satan's lie and encourage us more to do His will in our lives. After all, His second coming will be the end of our temporary sorrows and problems here on earth. Blessings!
