bad dreams

I had another bad dream last night, I dreamed that I left the house and I left the stove on, then I couldn't find my way home, and I couldn't get any telephone to work so that I could call home.
My stove burned out,
and I woke up scared.
Has that ever happened to you.
I know exactly what it happened, the dream that is,
I am afraid because I haven't found a new apartment to live in yet,
so that is where I am lost
I also need a new stove, which I am working on getting from gather points.
I need money and I am working on assignments, and I am really burnt out, again another reference to the stove burning out.

We are surviving, that is all we can do these days and time. We just live life the best we can and do the best with what we have. I am doing okay when my migraines and teeth aren't bothering me. Going to see a doc next mo nth about migraines.

Oh no I'm so sorry you had a bad dream again! Yes it has happened to me. I once dreamt that I was being chased by a vampire -- where I was able to actually fly as a bird, like the vampire was doing, but I kept hitting the telephone wires and falling to the street below. My former therapist told me she felt it could mean that I was not getting something from my ex husband that I 'needed', since vampires 'need' blood to survive. She was so right about my 'needs' not being met by the ex husband! It's possible your dream last night is only conveying how you're feeling right now, extremely stressed and burnt out by looking for another apartment.

yes I said all that in my interpretation of my dream,
vampire and blood interesting.
chasing means you are afraid of something, and flying means you want to be set free,
the bumping into things probably meant there were obstacles in your way of your freedom at the time.

I was wondering if I had missed you moving out. I think you have done a neat job of figuring out what your dream meant in your life. I am sorry that you are going through a rough patch looking for a new home.

Don't you think that when we have something like a stove that needs replacing, and we go to bed we think about it and that is where are dreams come from. I know sometimes I dream about things that i havve been worrying about. It is the suggestion that is in your head from the day you have lived or something like that that makes us dream.

Sounds like you are really worried and concerned about things your body is trying to work it out in your dreams. I know it doesn't seem like it but it is actually your brain trying to figure out solutions to your problems, and sometimes it goes in to full overload when we are stressed out. I hope you are able to get the money you need for your new stove.

yes I know I am very knowlegeable about dreams and their functions, the unconscious mind does spill over in our dreams, this dream was very obvious but many dreams are not so obvious,
actually the stove is not a worry for me, I know that I will be getting one eventually, it is other worries right now, one is the incredible amount of work I have taken on to get the money I need for certain things that are needed in terms of money, that is the biggest stress balancing the deadlines with searching for apartments.

I had an extremely disturbing dream last night. I dreamed that I was going through physical fitness training with Karl Marx, and then was sent to a psychiatric hospital when he discovered that I'm a Christian. I think I have an idea why I dreamed this, though: it has a lot to do with my concern about the turn America's taken toward Socialism, and with my concern about being persecuted for my faith, which is another thing I've been worrying about lately.
It's funny the way your subconscious mind can bring things up in a dream, isn't it? The stuff you try not to think about during your waking hours eventually makes its way into your brain while you sleep, since you are not using any sort of defense mechanism in order to keep it out.

yes that is sigmund freud's theory, we dream about what is in our subconscious mind, even though it may not be what we are thinking about in our conscious mind,
great analysis of your dream by the way

Hopefully you will find something soon, and these dreams will quit. It is quite a bad thing when you cannot even sleep without dreaming bad things.

I don't care all that much about the stove but I am worried that I will not find a new place to live.

I've had a dream like that before. In my dream I had put a pot of water on the stove to boil. For some reason I left the house. I figured I wouldn't be gone but a minute. But when I headed towards home huge flames had engulfed it.
Fuuny thing about the dream was the house was way up on a hill and was 3 stories tall. However, the house I live in is a single story on flat land. Hmm, I wonder what it meant?

That sort of dream would worry me, too.
Last night, it snowed in my dream... which is supposed to be a good thing.
Take care of yourself, and I hope you get a new place soon.
What are gather points?

I had a look at the site (never heard of it before this) and it looks like it's too much work. Or maybe I'm still tired from being awakened at 5:45 am by my "furry alarm clock" ...

Do you keep a dream journal? Or any other kind of journal for that matter? Dedicating some of your writing time to the things that give you bad dreams might lesson the dreams and help you sleep better.

no it doesn't lesson the dreams, I have them when I am stressed, I don't keep a journal,
I also have prophetic dreams as well

You do sound stressed. We all have these bad dreams; they don't essentially mean anything. Most of them simply mean stress. I do hope things get better with you soon.

First of all...let me say..IT IS SOOOOO NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU! And I am soooo sorry for all the things in your environment, right now, that are causing so much stress in your life! You had a rough enough winter! So, hopefully spring will bring a new life for you! Is accomodation that difficult to find in Montreal? And is it pricey? I suppose like here in B.C., when moving, you have to have the first & last months deposit, plus damage deposit! That is a whack of cash to have to lay out...and in these times, must be very difficult to amass! Please take care of your health thru all this turmoil! Thinking of you often, Cheers!

I have a rough lol, yes montreal is pricey for people on low incomes like me.
It is hard to find something actually there isn't anything I really can afford, over 3 thirds of my income goes just to pay my rent.

From what I've heard from the elderly here in the Philippines, dreams that occur at night usually don't come true. However, the ones that occur in the early morning or dawn usually come true. :p
Just a thought, though. How about dreams that occurred during the night and continued 'till dawn? And... are we even aware of the time if we're sleeping? Lol.
