Do you kill other creatures intentionally?

Do you? I mean every thing. Even the insects. I refrain from killing any creatures intentionally. There are many small creatures in the place where we live and definitely such small insects die when we don't exactly want them to. I feel so sad whenever any creature dies due to me though unintentionally it happens...

If bugs get in my house then I do I can't stand them. Mosquitoes bite while I'm sleeping and twice I have ended up at the hospital in the morning with my cheek so swollen that I couldn't see from one eye - so they die if I spot them! Spiders scare the wits out of me and those green things that fly and then stink the place out if you squash them - yuck (I put them under water to kill them. It's MY house and they should not trespass

I think it's cruel that a small creature that couldn't possibly harm you has to die because you're afraid of it. Maybe next time you can try to remove it instead of kill it. Just get a glass, but it over him, than take a piece of paper and slide it between the glass and the ground (or wherever) and than you can take the spider outside.

Well no matter, how crazy and irritated they make me. The most irritating are the cockroaches I get in my room. Sometimes, it is too difficult to remove them. But I have always been successful removing them finally. I just remove them from my room. Yeah, they may return and still if you kill too, they may return. You have garden nearby and there is definite possibility that such bugs come up to your room often. I hope there are dangerous big mosquitoes around your home. Didn't you use the mosquito net. We have mosquitoes here for about 3 seasons and currently, this is the time that we get intense mosquitoes. But still though they bite me, I can't kill it. I can't do it, my heart won't allow me to do that and I feel the unrighteous to do it. They simply have the life like us, I can't tolerate some itching for them... Well yes that some mosquito bite can carry disease with them cyrus. But around here in my place I have heard of none got the disease from mosquito bite yet. I just try not to get bitten from them, but I don't like to kill them. Hey, I hope you should keep the no trespass sign in the language understood by those bugs hehe... Oh yes, there are some insects that stinks too much, just too much when they are squashed. I can't tolerate that smell, it almost makes me vomit. With your thing, I just remember that. Else I had already forgotten about that type of insects. Well its been so many years that I haven't got that insect around here.... And killing them puttting them under water, its just so cruel...STOP DOING IT.... I hope you will reduce such acts in the future...Good luck...Instead of killing them, just remove them from the room and feel the self satisfaction you get for that act... Happy mylotting...

I'd love to say that I never kill animals, but sometimes things that I don't want to happen happen... if you know what I mean. But I feel so bad after I killed a creature, it doesn't matter what kind. I always do my best to be good to all the insects. I let them live in peace. They have hearts too.

I am happy that there are people out there that feel the same way about this. That doesn't happen often. Many people don't care about other creatures, I find that horrible. We should be careful with the world around us and all the live that it holds. I am happy there are people like you that do care! Happy mylotting to you too!

I love animals and eat a vegan diet. I would never intentionally kill any creature however small. I am careful not to have the accident on standing on a snail or a worm. If I see a spider in my home I gently catch it and then put in outside. When there are many ants all over a path is it challenging to walk and I hope all of them stay alive. I am very keen on traveling but I am not keen on mosquitoes that bite. I wear insect repellent to avoid their bites and baby oil to stop sand flies biting me.

Hello maximax8!!! I am very much glad with your response. Because I am also exactly like you. Like you I don't intentionally kill the insects even they bother me a lot. Sometimes there are spider in my room. Currently too, I am near the wall and there is a spider sitting idle a few inches above. It is a flat spider, with a big legs sitting just idle. Well I don't have anything to do with these small spiders. But if the spider is really big , I really have to take care of. I am surprised that you can catch the spider with your hand and just put is outside. I can't touch them with my hands. I am not afraid, but when I touch them my body shivers. The hatest thing is the cockroach. I find these things here and there in my house. The most thing I can't stand is to get them in my room getting here and here. I have worst experience of running it over my face while I was sleeping. Since then I can't sleep unless I clear out these cockroaches. I don't like to touch these cockroaches. And the most irritating ones are the cockroaches that fly here and there aimlessly. They don't really have the eyes and run here and there. What about cockroach in you room? And about mosquito, I just sleep inside the mosquito net. That's all. And also in case of ants and other snail or worm I do the same like you. I try to be as careful as I can to not to step on them. And mostly cockroach again. That's why I keep my eyes on the floor whenever I walk on my home. Thanks for you response...Happy mylotting...

You are smart to use insect repellent, especially before going outside. I didn't know that baby oil would keep sand flies from biting you. I don't have any problems with them, though. Did you know that skin-so-soft bath oil is good insect repellent? I learned this when I sold Avon years ago. It's good to keep flies off of horses. Its' also good to keep fleas off of cats and dogs, too. In fact, it's good for a lot of things. You have to get it from an Avon representative, though. Kathy.

Absolutely not! I find ways to escort insects outside if they enter my home, but I won't ill them. Nor would I kill any other creature. We all have a place in the universe, and nobody should presume to remove us from it.

You are absolutely right cobrateacher. This world is not only for us, it is for all the creatures that are in this world. And they have the heart just like us, no matter how small they are. And that's why I do the same thing like you. I can't control them removing from the whole home. The cockroaches are strictly prohibited in my room hehe. For me, I can't catch the cockroach with my hand, and sometime I have to work for about and hour to trap it safe and leave them out of my room. Pretty little insects, they can't understand that meaning of no trespassing in my room hehe... Happy mylotting... Thanks for your response and Keep posting...

Hello srganesh!!! Yes most of the people use mosquito repellants. I use mosquito net that is not killing. We get mosquitoes here only in the summer season. i.e for about 3 months... Well I also can't stand the cockroaches. The most difficult thing is that when they run here and there in my room. But I don't kill them. I clear them out safe from my room and shut the door, Stay out you cockroaches lol ... Thanks for sharing... happy mylotting...

Hi. I don't kill them until I fear of being bitten by them. It is a basic instinct of every living being, isn't it?

Well that is true that it is a basic instinct of every living being. We can't be that great. I don't think I will kill the insects that bit, I will just escape hehe...Luckily I can't see tough insects here and so I don't even need to do that. Sometimes, I can see the honey bee, In that case, I become very careful and make sure they don't bite me. I keep all the windows and out going place such that it will surely escape... Happy mylotting...

I am an animal lover, and as such, I try not to kill any animals. I do have to confess though, I hate spiders and I usually won't hesitate in killing them if I come across one. I would never consider hunting, or hurting any other animals. I believe that when a person goes around intentionally killing creatures, it is a sign of underlaying violence in that person. Why kill something if you don't have to? The only reason I can think of would be if that person enjoyed killing helpless creatures.

There are plenty of trees and plants around my house. My house is on the ground floor so most of the time insects easily get into my house. This can be a menace most of the time. Sometimes red ants shift their residence from outside to inside my house. When blood sucking mosquitoes population increses, they become troublsome. So we have no option but to kill the pests.

Yes, I kill insects intentionally. I can't stand them. With summer on the way, they're really going to be bad. I never have killed a snake or a rat but I can't stand them, either. My little Jack Russell Terrier Dog will killl mice and I'm glad of that. I don't like to go hunting, though. A lot of people like to hunt for deer around here. I think deer are pretty to look at and I couldn't stand to shoot them. The strange thing about it is, I like to see deer heads and horns on people's walls, though. I just love animals, anyway, especially horses. Kathy.

hehe...You don't need to ask your friends...Ask yourself with your inner mind while killing the other insects intentionally. The better to think it just before killing the insect... And about singing, I am learning day by day and also improving too...I love singing and always be loving...This is the only thing that helps me keep satisfied in life though I am not a professional singer...

Dying is part of living. I am like you. I avoid killing anything but it seems almost impossible. When you drive down the road, some bug will die.The killing of insects is in the plan. Some breed 100,000 kids per litter. If something wasn't eating or killing them, we would be eyeball deep in them by now. It's all about balance.
@nzalheart (2338)

Yes it is almost impossible to avoid killing. That's why I mentioned it early that do you kill INTENTIONALLY. Everything is surely about the balance, and so unintentionally too as we go on with our normal tasks, many little things get killed. The world goes on like this only with balance, balance and balance...

i hate cockroaches and even mosquitos, but i'm scared beating up cockroaches so i just shoo them away, i definitely kill mosquitoes because they would bring diseases to our house so it's better to kill them than pity them.

Well the cockroaches definitely irritate me. But I can tolerate mosquitoes. Only during the sleeping time, the mosquitoes are hard to tolerate. But I use mosquito net and don't really have the problem. And I can't tolerate the cockroach inside me room. Well I don't kill them, instead remove them from my room... Thanks for your response xannebull, happy mylotting...

One of my fears is the cockroach. As much as I would like to keep them alive, I fear them so much that I would force somebody to kill a cockroach whenever I see one at home. I really find it hard to overcome this fear of mine. The fact that cockroach can fly, that makes me fear them a lot more. I am also bugged by my conscience whenever a creature was killed because of me but with cockroaches, I just can't help it. God bless!

Yes tracydee, cockroach is the real problem for me too. Nowadays I find more cockroach in my home, as this is summer season. Its good that we don't have to see these cockroach on the other season. I hate it when the cockroach run here and there when I have dining or having any meal. They just irritate me. But they given that nature by the nature. Cockroach is the creature that always seem to be worried. I think these cockroach don't have eyes, and they sense only through their antennas. The worst thing for me is to get them in my room. I am not scared with it, but it always scare me for a second, when I unintentionally get it near me. The worst has again happened to me. When I was sleeping, a cockroach ran over my face and I was scared. That time I had been using the mosquito net, and I don't how how did it get into the room. And another thing was that there was not just one, but two big cockroach inside the net. I can't touch them with me hand, so that's the problem. I use anything that helps me to get them out of my room. But not killing. It has happened that I had tried for more than half and hour to get the cockroach on my trap and leave them out safe hehe...I think I need good practice to remove them like the people do in national Geographic channels hehe... Love all creatures, they are just so innocent and in more intense problem than us... Happy mylotting...

No. Definitely not. Never. Wasps and flies are "helped" out of the window, spiders are left to go about their daily business and get rid of any flies which might be lurking. I ignore mosquitoes, just make sure there are nets on the windows. My husband prowls through the night looking for mosquitoes to kill, but I find that is such a waste of time and energy. I do think though that should we ever be invaded by a swarm of ants or maggots, I would be forced to take action to destroy them for health reasons. Otherwise, my motto is "Live and let live".
@nzalheart (2338)

22 May 09
Yeah, I do the same. Let the wasps or other flies out of the room via window. I have touch time leaving the cockroach out of my room. Because I don't dare to catch them. My whole body will shiver If I hold them in my hand. Instead I have to trap them and let them out. And for mosquitoes protection we have mosquito nets, so I don't have to make the killing. People use here some mosquito coils, but i hate the smell and smoke produced by it. Yes Live and let live... Enjoy...Spread love...happy mylotting...
