A couple of my articles were rejected for grammar and spelling on ac. After the rejection I have found a website to show my the errors of my way. LOL. Anyway, the point is one of the articles AC actually messed up a spelling in the description. I certainly hope it was their error because I am almost positive I checked it. I don't remember spelling it like that. It was a word that I wouldn't misspell. Mistype, yeah, good possibility. I don't think so though, just because of the way it was spelled. I really want it fixed though. It looks horrible and it is not something I want associated with me. The word was elegant. It was spelled with an O though. What would you do if it was an article you worked hard on? Would you let it go or would you say something?

haha mommaj, after Constant-Content, now is Associated Content! What's next? Are you able to edit and resumbit the articles? At least Associated Content allows resubmission. Sometimes the formatting really causes headaches! Recently AC has a lot of funny technical problems. Email notifications dont always work. This stupid notification "The content you're looking for is temporarily unavailable." when I halfway through the reading. Perfectly irritating!

These days I tend to say something if I have a strong feeling about it. The older I get, the more I tend to express myself, especially if its something I feel strongly about whether it be work, relationships, etc. With that said, I'd probably contact AC. I'm sure AC has a department has a client/customer relations who could help you out.

I will probably contact them about it, especially since they have asked me to change articles before with errors in them. I didn't like the mistake because it was such a simple word that it screamed at me as soon as I saw it. I will have to let them know just because I have worked hard on my articles and if they want them perfect, so do I.

Did you go back to your original and check it against what showed up online?

I would say something, just to make sure it doesn't happen again, which will probably. Well good luck.

This happens too much for me to think it won't happen again. LOL I think it's just a mistake that can be fixed easily. No biggie. I just think it looks really bad especially after they have asked me to fix articles for less mistakes. LOL

I would definitely try and do something about it. I am very particular and edit as I work so that by the time I am done there is very little I need to go back and fix. If something escapes my eye I am very unhappy about it later.

That is the way I am. Just recently I found a way to check my grammar besides my bad eyesight. LOL. I started checking my work and it turns out if I do have mistakes it may be one. I am really impressed with myself. I thought it was going to be a lot worse than that especially since my articles have been rejected for upfronts for one mistake. LOL YAY me...

I type everything in Word and I find some times the grammar checker is WRONG! You just have to check and recheck as you go. What you are describing though sounds like when editors screw with your story and get something wrong.

They are always changing titles. My husband wrote one about the H. Bomb Test and they changed the title to read that he had dropped the first H. Bomb. You give them the full rights to do what they want with your articles. I have written so many that I don't always check to even read the titles. I wouldn't worry about it but that is me. Susie who writes on 4 sites.

I've noticed they like to change keyword density in the titles too. I'll come up with a funny and eye catching title, then they'll change it to something that more people would search for. I don't really care, I'm not writing for magazines or anything so if they want to change my articles as long as they pay me that's cool. I always post my articles as exclusive because then you have a chance to get the $50 payment. I've only done it once, but it was so cool to get that much for just one article. Plus I don't really have time to post on other sites anyway.

That's the funny thing. I never give them full rights. All my articles are non-exclusive. They still pay me for them. I'm just not giving up the rights to them. I'm not a professional writer or journalist so I try to keep the rights so I can make a few cents on the other sites. If you put the articles on the other sites first then you can't reuse them on AC. I'm just a little mad because for the past week or so they have been rejecting articles for grammar. One article was baby's instead of babies. I read over it so fast I didn't pick it up. Now I am getting better though. I am putting my articles on a free checker. It's working so far. LOL

I didn't know they did $50 pay outs. My page views are too low for me to qualify. LOL I am working on that though. (Quick someone go read my articles. LOL)

I also write for Associated content, and when they catch a misspelled word they will send it back to you, though I'm not sure if they can do anything to fix it.

The misspelled word is something I think they changed. I can't find where I spelled the word like it was spelled in the description. I may ask them to fix it. They have already published it. That is why I am surprised. They had sent a couple back to me for grammar. This one they just took? It was an obvious mistake because it is in the description of the article. LOL Guess they aren't above making mistakes.

I would contact them and let them know your concern. I would think that they would change it for you but I dont know. I have never asked them to do this type of thing in an email. They have in the past always been helpful and kind when I needed their help. Hopefully you can get it changed to the proper spelling of the word.

I'm pretty sure it was something that they changed before posting my article. Once it was posted they did go back and correct it after I pointed it out. They use to be pretty good at fixing things people wanted changed. Since all of the "newness" took place, I haven't written much.
