I used to depend on alarm a lot. Without alarm, I might overslept and late to work. But in the past few months, I don't use alarm anymore, because now I can control my sleep. Before I go to bed, I always tell myself that tomorrow I want to wake up exactly at 5:00 AM. I don't know why, but it works, I always wake up at the time I set :)
What about you, can you wake up without an alarm??

Hi there Natalia. I manage to wake up before the alarm especially when i have an exam or something, as i have the ability (not all the times though) to "program" my biological clock into waking me close to the hour that the alarm is set to.

I still depend on my alarm. I sometimes wake up before especially when I know that I have a shift at 5am but I still depend on my alarm since I dont sleep enough and might be overtired so I get afraid that I dont wake up in the morning at the right time so I prefer to use alarm.

The power of biorhythm. I think it is part of why people eat, drink, wake up, go to sleep, exercise, etc. You have trained your body. Is it always the same time that you wake up ??

I know that I cannot do that! The clock alarm is a must have thing. I cannot control how much I sleep because I don't set myself to go to sleep at certain time of the night. Lately I can wake up early by myself, not as long time ago that I used to woke up at the middle of the day, but now that I have a work and a time to arrive, I must set the alarm clock to sound at leash 10 times before I wake up from my dreams

Oh yeah I have one of those "built in alarm clocks" too!
I would love o be able to sleep in on the weekend but inevitably I will be up at 5 am on the dot. I must admit it has come in handy when the electric has gone out a few times but otherwise I would be just as pleased not have this bulilt in ability!

I always wake without an alarm. In fact, getting up at the right tim ehappens naturally to me. I believe that the human body possesses certain intelligence which wakes us up at the right hour. Some people need an alarm clock because they do not fall into deep sleep or they have been very much separated from nature.

I'm exactly like you! When I was younger, I always depended on an alarm clock to wake me up when going to get ready for school. I was such a sleepyhead back then. I even used my mother as an alarm clock! Lol There were times that I skipped school because our alarm clock didn't do its thing. But now that I'm a grown up teenager, I have my own body clock already, just like you. My eyes would open or wake up on a certainly fixed time unlike my childhood days, my waking up times were just so random.
That's it! Happy myLotting!

Frankly speaking, i can get up with out an alarm clock.... i have tried that before numerous times. hehe... i always got up late and went to work late. even though i sleep early the night before. They said you have to train yourself to wake early, but i just can't. Sometimes when my wife tried to wake me up, she said i replied, and talking to her. But when i got up, i asked her why she didn't wake me up. hehe.... it like i talk even though i sleep.

Not at all. I love to sleep in and I will sleep until I wake myself up or an alarm does it. Alarms were a great invention and without them I wouldn't have a job.

There was a study made regarding the ability of our body to wake up without any alarm. In that research, it stated that our body has its own alarm that could be set by us. For example, if we want to wake up every 6am, we can set that time inside our brain then our body follows. In my case, by body has different alarm on weekdays and weekends. On weekdays, I wake up at 6am while on weekdays, I wake up at 8:30am without the use of alarms.

That's great thing about you.
I can't wake up even after setting alarm sometimes.
It is great that you are waking at desired time even after not setting alarm.
I think it is really nice.
Even if I am sleeping early I am not able to wake up early sometimes.

I don't need an alarm clock. I have my own body clock, specially if I'm all excited about doing something... I usually wake up at 4am but I get up at 5:30 so I can have breakfast and then check my mails... My husband uses one, but I usually wake up before it even rings and I tend to wake him up coz he can't hear the alarm... lol, weird.

Yes i do , my eyes used to open and wake me up at 6a.m .
Sometimes would like to sleep again to cope up those times
im not sleeping well. When it is holiday i continue sleep
but if its time to work, i will awake quickly for the time is
gold and afraid to be late. And it takes time to me to arrive
early there so need more fast enough in preparing for work.
It happened that i am late, was scolded by my boss and i admitted it;
for it is caught and true. heheheh.

It's a funny thing... Everytime I set an alarm I always wake up about ten times before it rings. But I don't use alarm every morning, I don't need to. I always wake up at a time I should. I overslept only 2-3 times.
But my father... he's a person that should use an alarm. But even when he does, he leaves he's phone downstairs and it wakes me up instead of him :)
