What are some of your favorite christian, gospel, music? I have too many to name. I love all kinds from old gospel, praise, etc. Do you participate in church singing or are you quite. I love to sing and don't understand why in some churches people around me don't sing. Also does anyone listen to christian music at home more or less than common worldy music?

I love listening to Hillsong / United songs. My iPod is loaded with their music. In case you don't know them, they're a worship band from Hillsong church in Australia. One of its worship leaders is Darlene Zschech, the one who wrote and performed the classic praise and worship song called Shout to the Lord.
On the other hand, the term worldly music doesn't seem right to me. I know most people tend to think that worldly means something evil - my mother used to tell me that. I'm not sure what "worldly" means to you but personally, I wouldn't classify music as worldly if it is lacking Christian themes or messages to it.

I love Hillsong music as well. They have allot of good worship music. I love Shout to the Lord, great song. To me worldly is anything not christian music. I am not necessaraly (sp) saying it is bad. I listen to soft rock or classical, jazz, as well. But for me I have to say that I can tell the differance on a spititual level. On the ones that move my soul.

We are always listening to Christian music, and have many Good CDS. Some of my favorites to listen too are Casting Crowns. I have almost all of their CDS. I used to sing in the Choir until my work schedule interfered with Choir practice. I also used to sing Solos as well, and sometimes miss it. Maybe now that my work schedule has changed, I will have to think about joining the Choir again and singing a Solo occassionally from time to time as well.
