We notice that reading has a lot to do with our thinking. Reading a lot improves our thinking much. What do you feel about it? We come across several incidents, characters, anecdotes etc and these things have a very good impact on our life and the way of our thinking.

interesting topic.
Perhaps to add to what has been mentioned, there is also the idea that besides reading, it is when we write that (I think) our brain further "processes" what we have read.
An interesting experiment is to read about something specific... and then to write about it ... e.g. as if we were presenting a lecture on it. We realize that our mind is challenged to interconnect the ideas in such as way that new questions arise or we have to reread the source material again for clarity...
There's a saying: "To write is to think fully..." , agree?
Cheers

I totally agree with you. I have always believed that, in order to write well, you have to read well and think about what you are reading rather than let it all wash over you. Reading and writing are excellent excercises for the brain, and our lives would be much poorer without the privileges of being able to read and write. Not a day passes when I don't do as much reading and writing as I can.

I have loved to read ever since I knew how to. It is a wonderful way to experience new things through the characters, their actions, and the settings. Many books teach very good life lessons and help us see things through a new perspective. It is still one of my favorite things to do. : )

Reading, especially something of a positive nature, will be very beneficial. When you are reading, you are choosing what to fill your mind with instead of entertaining the automatic, often sabotaging, self chatter that we habitually engage in.
