No. I haven't had any problems with PayPal and I have been with tem at least 6 years. I know they can freeze your account but it is just for your own protection. If you account had been hacked you would be happy that they did this.

You should call them. I had to call them once, can't remember the issue, and they cleared it up in less than 5 minutes. I know you would be happy if you checking accnt was attached and someone was trying to withdraw $1k out of it using your paypal account. What did you get the $380 for? Why are they asking for documentation that you claim isn't there? If you sold an item and got paid for it, you should have proof that you had the item, you shipped it and you can prove who you are. I think this is a claim to show off your websites.

I've been actively using Paypal for over 6 years and only once ave I had a problem like you describe. I buy and sell through Ebay, I have sent money to my children this way, and shopped via other storefronts that came back through Paypal for payment. In all my time using Paypal, the only occassions I am aware of of an account being frozen or locked, was if there was some question as to the legitimacy of a transaction, then they may freeze the amount in question but not the entire account balance. This is for everyone's protection and one f the many reasons Paypal is listed as one of the safest means of electronic payment. In my situation, I had a woman purchase 2 bolts of costume satin from me via Ebay Auctions. She overbid substantially on the satin is the only thing I ever figured out and had Buyer's Remourse, but that's part of the auction game. Anyway, after she received the fabric (and I use Delivery Confirmation BTW) she left scathing feedback for me (first negative feedback out of 900) callng my a fraud, a cheat etc.. and saying the fabric was not silk (umm, no duh,,, no claim it was ever silk, which is a much more costly fabric than costume satin)...OK so....thats where it stood....Then almost 2 months later, she filed a claim with Paypal claiming that I had never shipped her any fabric and asking Paypal to give her a full refund of her money (in the neighborhood of $150). For several days I had the $150 in question frozen until Paypal sorted out what had actually happened and who was being truthful. I did have to submit to Paypal any evidence which I had (in my case, I had her own public feedback complaining about what the fabric was; as well as her signature from where I had used Delivery Confirmation) They ruled against this woman and whatever fraud she was attempting to pull off, but while they sorted it all out...the money was frozen to cover the claim she made.

I have used paypal for a long time and have never had any problems. If you ever get an email wanting to update your account......DO NOT DO IT and turn it in, that is a SCAM. You will never have to update your info.

Yes Paypal does freeze accounts...any odd change you have coming into your account...I had sold something on ebay for $800 well they froze my account because it was odd behaivor....I had only been getting like $20 per person type stuff...I have to send in proof that I had the item and then proof of shipping...various forms of ID and after 60 days FINALLY I GOT MY MONEY....So yes it does happen!

I have never had any problems with using paypal. Is the amount that is frozen from one transaction? Wouldn't it be easy for you to ask the peroson who paid that amount into your account to confirm that they are paying you for something?
