Would you feel like a bum?

I'm broke lol! My friend told me to go around to the other dorms over the weekend and collect bottles. She said she did it and got like $200! I don't know I kinda feel like a bum going from door to door but she said they like it cause then they don't have to return their bottles. I was like " Hey I'm a student too and I return my bottles!". By the way we live in Michigan where bottle return is like .10. What are some of the things you've done for cash as a student and do you think this is a sketchy idea?

I like the idea of returning bottles, I'd go for it if I were you.
I used to do a paper round and when winter comes I can go from door to door to wish everyone a happy Christmas, they usually give some money. I collected about 200 dollars, but it was a heck of a job.
I like the idea of returning bottles better. You could have some fun with that actually.

I was thinking about takeing my dog with me to help carry the bottles (great dane). He has a back pack that's kinda like a paper bag thing. I think people would go nuts over him like they normally do and give me more bottles! I'm just kinda intimidated by other people I guess.

I can understand what you mean. You must feel a bit weird going from door to door asking for bottles. But to be honest I don't think people will see it that way. And if you take your dog with you, they'll probably love it.

I totally understand how you are feeling. It's a tad awkward asking somebody for their bottles. But it is totally fine. Just do it! Get your money, and help the environment and your country.
I have shoveled over 5 feet of snow for my neighbors; and their driveways aren't little at all, people here live in mini-mansions.
