My wife, my daughter and her brother has not good habit : turn television set all the time. although I already reminded them, they did not hear. they some time slept at sofa while our tv keeping on, even when they go to bathroom or kitchen and not sit near tv they kept it on and broadcast without anyone wathing at our dining room ! I tried to turn off but even my daughter shouting from her room "no, do not turn the tv off !!" and I dont really understand why did they like that, I thought that they need friend, or something accompany !? If it was music (music player) of course I understand and agree....! What do you think about my wife and daughter's habit ? thank you.

That sounds like my father, he drives me crazy having the television on morning, noon and night, from the moment he wakes up at 8.30 in the morning to the time he goes to bed at 11pm at night the television is on constantly, it's a wonder the television set doesn't overheat, and he has it on very loud so I have to keep telling him to turn it down! I can't understand how people can watch television all day long or even have it on. I like peace and would much rather have a house of quiet than a television set blaring even if no one is watching it.

Well I must admit that I am one of those people who like my Tv on all the time I guess I am like your brother .Many times I am not even watching ,I would be on my computer and I still have the Tv on and occasionally I take a glimpse and then go back to typing

Is your house quiet without the tv set? I know mine is. I live alone and even if I'm not watching it, the tv breaks the sound barrier. My house is quiet. I can have the tv on, the clothes washer or dryer going, but it doesn't help much. I enjoy my house, though. I was just told when my daddy built the house years ago that he had the walls sound proofed. He liked peace and quiet when he was younger but as he got older, he wanted a radio on all the time. I assume you like peace and quiet, too, right? Kathy.

Yes, it is my friend. I dont know we are seldom chating each other for nothing! Oh, yes you are right, I think it is right reason! my daughter actually stay at other city for her colege and only avery three months visit her parents for several days or wheneve she has something to do at our main city, sometimes she told to my servant, "well daddy told that he miss me at his sms text, but when I came home we did not chat some minutes" . thank you very much my friend you gave the very correct answer, because I know I am less talk father, less talk husband! thats right sometime my friend told the audiences when we have meeting at our office "Mr. justinus the less talk man, would like to tell us something".....

i also have this habit, when i get home, i'll turn on the tv first. then i go changing my clothes washing hands and gonging to the kitchen. for i live alone if the tv is on, i could feel the house more loneless. and i like the soap progrems , so even i am in the kitchen, i can hear the plot going. and i think tv is an important part of my life.
