The other day I saw an old movie called ' The Day After Tommorow ' starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid. It was about the heavy snow storm that wiped out the northern hemisphere in the earth because of global warming. This is my favorite disaster movie because I thought it come close to the reality that we're facing today that is global warming. So what is your favorite disaster movie and why you like it? Feel free to comment!

Well if you think "The Day After Tomorrow" is old them my favourite is ancient. I love "The Towering Inferno" because it mixes action with drama and delivers a brilliant story line. Plus it features a cavalcade of big name stars, but none of them outshine the others. I also like "Earthquake" which is another old action flick and also the original "Poseidon", can't stand any of the lack lustre remakes.

I saw an old movie called earthquake starring Charlton Heston and a host of other actors. It was good but my all time favorite film is The Towering Inferno , which i happened to watch many many years ago. I love watching Steve Mcqueen's films and this was a good film...I have also watched another film with the same subject as the one mentioned by you - 'Avalanche' , made in 1978, because there are so many of them with the same name..
