The title says it all. Me, I think it's really very cool! Cameras are very important in every living person's life, don't you think? "A picture paints a thousand words". You can take your self-portrait anytime you want, bring it with you when you have a get together with your girl friends, bring it to school for fun, take a picture of your favorite pet, capture special moments from your family outing, and so on and so forth. I love cameras because it's the only way to keep our visual memories. I have my very own digital camera and it's brand is Olympus.
How about you? Do you own a digital camera? Do you also think it's cool to have your own? All opinions are appreciated.
Happy myLotting to everyone!

I myself do have a digital Camera....I never had one until i had my oldest son and to me its very important to have it i can catch my kids doing the most crazy things yet most adorable things at any given day and time. And i can keep these memories and when they get older they can look back and think how crazy and adorable they was when they was little LOL...So yes its important.

Yes, I agree. I have a friend that has a son ang a daughter. Her children are still young.. She doesn't have a camera and she regrets not having one because she couldn't take snaps of her children's mischievous and crazy deeds. Haha. What she does is borrow camera from me.
Thanks and happy myLotting :)

I think it has a great advantage of having your own camera. A lot of people I know own a camera so I think it is just common to own a camera nowadays. I own a Sony DSC-S930. It has 10 megapixels, so it is really clear. Photos are a great way to document events in our lives. Taking shots is a way to capture that moment. Just like you say "A picture paints a thousand words". happy myloting.

It was 3 years ago. I was totally new to forums and was a member of talktopics.com. It was a new site and gave Ipod as its first month prize. I was really surprised when I came to know that I will the one who will get a camcorder.
The sad part of it was that I had to pay custom duty which was 35% of the total cost!

Whoa, that's really pretty cool! You won a camcorder? From where and how? You're so lucky! Yeah, you need to fix that asap because you never know when rare moments will occur.

I think cameras are a very important part of life. They can capture the images that we want to be able to see over and over again. Then we can pull the album out and relive those great times. The digital camera has really made photographing so much easier. What I really like about it is being able to see the pictures instantly and not having to purchase blurred pictures or pictures with peoples heads cut off :)

I agree with you! It really captures special moments in one's life. It captures moments that we want to see over and over again. Plus we can develop those pictures and make a scrapbook out of them! Pretty cool!

Yea i think it is great to have a digital camera, although people rely on there phones the images aren't the best and if your after quality more than convince than yea it is great to a compact camera if you want even better results then a DSLR is great. The phone's camera are also hard to use if you want better images with more setting on a compact camera you can finely adjust you images to how you need them.

Yup! I think the same way too. It's too much of a hassle to select the proper setting if you're on a rush to take pictures. I also agree with you on the cellphone camera part. The quality is not the best and the photo size can't be resized on cellphones like Nokia. I have an old modeled nokia cellphone and the photo's resolution is really small and cannot be resized nor adjusted even when transferred to computers.
Thank you for responding! Happy myLotting! :) And also welcome to myLot :)

I can't aree with you any more about "a picture paints a thousand words".I always dream about when i was old,i can hold the pictures with my friends or my family to recall my good old days.
I have had a unrealistic and romantic thought of secret love, that the boy take a photo of the girl he loves, every day,and when he wanna tell the girl about his love,he can use the picture to pxpress the emotion directly. Is it sounds romantic?

Yes I do think its cool. Its really nice to have one considering that having a digital camera of your own, you can easily capture precious moments with it. Nowadays, most people have digital cameras. Some still rely with camera phones but it is really different to having a digital camera.

I bought mine last year and very much appreciated of its usefulness. My digi cam is a Canon with a mega 10 pixel for higher quality result. Zoom is not much giving me a 3 optical zoom and 12 digital zoom. Sad to say, it is not a touch screen, ow well i guess i should buy one with SLR for more productive result.

I love my digital camera, it is definately one of the best pieces of technology that I own. Now a days the cost of developing film can be pretty pricy. With my digital camera, I don't really have to worry about that any more. I am also not the most organised person in the world, in fact I am probably one of the least organised. I had started to notice that my developed pictures never got put into albums. I almost never looked through my pics, and they were extremely disorganized. With my digital camera, I would upload my pics to my computer. I also find that since my pics are on the computer, I view them more often, and I can even send them to family and friends. I definately think that it is a good idea to have your own digital camera.

I do own a digital camera, my sister gave it to me last year because she thinks it's not the right unit she was looking for. I was really happy when she told me that I could have it. I was longing to have a digital camera of my own that's why I got so excited to take pictures (of myself in particular..haha!).It's cool to have one.

Yeah, i think that having my own digital camera is very cool. I like taking photos and capture down the good memories i have with my friends and family. I bought my first digital camera during my second year in university. I joined lots of acitivites and meet manhy friends during the years, and so i need a digital camera so much. Digital camera enables me to capture down the memories i have with my friends and keep it easily. Besides, i also like taking photos of nice scenery. Whenever i went to a place with good scenery, i will take my camera and take a snap of it. The nice scenery photo will then be used as wallpaper for my computer, haha.
My digital camera brand is Cannon. Cannon, delighting you always! That's its theme, and it's really true for me, it's delighting me! Haha..

Memories are forever.
Its not just cool to have a camera but I think it has become a necessity these days as well. As you know, even cellphones have cameras but I still prefer to use my digital camera as it takes really good pictures compared with a cellphone camera. I own a Sony Cybershot digital camera for three years now and I like it so much. However, I want to buy a new digital camera in the near future but I am planning to buy one which is for professional use. I want to pursue my hobby in photography and since I love to travel, its a good opportunity for me to take shots of such great places.

Yes, I think it is great to have a digital camera and that they are one of the best things in photography that has been invented. With old film cameras you could never tell if your shot came out right and it was so expensive to get the films processes into pictures. Now, you can see immediately if a shot hasn't come out, and it's so cheap - well free really if you just want to view it on computer, post it to the web or e-mail it. - Derek

hi ayameyokomi,
I totally agree with you. It is indeed very cool to have a digital camera. Well, I do not belong to a rich family. I have to strive hard to finish my college. All of us are working for a living. The only one who is not yet working is my younger sister but its ok. She better finish her studies first before working because there are some instances that some person forgot their studies once they are already earning.
I cannot afford to buy a digital camera but I have my own digital camera. My boyfriend gave it to me as a gift. He is really very sweet. He was working in USA and we have a long distance relationship. He told me that he wants me to share my life with him everyday. Each time that there is a special occasion or I have to go to some beautiful places, he wants me to take a picture of it and send it to him. That way, it makes him feel as if he is also with me.I had sent so many pictures with him because of the digital camera he gave to me.

For me, it is really cool to have my own digital camera since I really love taking photographs! I always bring my cam along especially if we gave gatherings and special occassions. But I think it isn't cool for other people. Not everyone likes taking pictures. Some of my friends don't like to own digicams since they're to lazy to take pictures. Haha! So they just grab the pics from my site.

Digital cameras are cool. But I prefer my film cameras...there's always a grittiness and pure quality that comes out of developed film.
What can I say? I have a love of film. It's simply beautiful.
