hey guys, i woke up this morning with a swollen face and eye, i did not get into a fight yesterday night, neither did i have any alchohol of any sort. I have no allergic reactions that i am aware of, what can this be, cos i think it is really dodgy. Any suggestions guys???

This has happened to me twice and both times I had to go to the emergency at the hospital. Both times it was caused by a mosquito bite on my cheek just under my eye during the night. I had to have injections for three days to make the swelling go down and it was almost a week both times before my face was back to normal
Could it be that you too were bitten during yuor sleep?

I sleep on my side and covered with a sheet even when it's hot but part of my face is exposed - and they found it
I hope your problem is solved too soon!

It could be a bite from a cockroach...
I know of a person once who was bitten on the face by those nasty cockroach and his face swelled like crazy! It also felt like there was a solid lump under the swelling. It was red and was painful.
You should have that checked out.

I agree with previous posters: it is probably a bite and it probably deserves a trip to the clinic or doctor. Mosquitoes and spiders are the big culprits of night-bites where we live and usually harmless, but people may not know that they are allergic to a particular bite until it is almost too late.

I think it could be a bug bite. I always get swollen when i get bitten by a bug.

If your face is swollen and you dont have any tooth problems, you may got bitten by something. Most of the time when I swell with no warnings a mosquito, ant or even a spider could have bitten you. If it does not go down I would consult a doctor. You may be allergic to it. Its best to find out now and not later when it could get worst. Good Luck on that.

how late did you sleep, how well didi you sleep, how busy was your day. those are some more things that can affect your eyes and face, also now is the time to trace what u eat, even if you think your are not allergic to anything, now you can start to be. this is usually signs of allergies and it could be because of hormone changes and that sort of stuff so i hope you get well and seek medical attention to get some professional help. take care and hope you get well.

it could be anything from an allergy to an abscessed tooth.. I'd see a doctor.
I have swelling issues too.. it sucks!
