I have been shocked by this post and it´s answers, I must say. Nobody talked of happiness, of love, of cuddling. OMG!!! Money is a means, not an end in itself. I understand that a little girl could say that ( mixing in the mind the sweets and the need of money to buy them). But grownups!!! JEEEZZ!!!I am very sorry for all the people that feel that money is the most important thing in the world. And at the same time, I feel that this post has made my day . Because I was rather down, but then I read it and the answers and discovered how lucky I am. I have enough money to live frugally but decently (up to that point I think money is necesary)and I have a lot of other things that I apreciate more than money. I like to be able to see so I can read, and watch TV and play here. I like to hear the songs of other times. And it´s so wonderful to smell and taste the nice things I cook. I like to feel and be able to caress my loved ones. Please tell your daughter that there is one person that thinks different from her. Take care

I think it is not so much on like. But money is important. Everyone needs money to trade for other necessities in order to survive in this world. So, money becomes one of the basic need for survival. With more money, we can enjoy a more comfortable life. With lesser money, we can still meet our basic needs. Without money, hmm...

I think I kind of agree with your daughter, yes and no. Some people do like money , but I don't think everyone likes money, but everyone needs money to survive. You can't survive without it.

She's right. I agree with her. Money isn't everything but everything need money. No one will refuse money. But in certain condition, money is not worth and even useless. For example on a war field, money is almost useless there, people will prefer to have logistics. But however it needs money to buy it. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Probably true in these forums because most of the people here are to earn money while doing something that is half enjoyable. I agree with your daughter, everybody likes money, but everybody doesn't need money. There is a man on Spadina Ave. in Toronto who stacks rocks for a living and makes sure his bank account is at zero by the end of each month. He just makes enough in street tips to support himself and his daughter. He stacks rocks and random city things that you wouldn't think could balance, but they do! They astonish people on the streets, wish I could find pictures!

Although most people probably do like money, I know for a fact that not everyone likes it. Money is more of a neccessity than something people like. I am sure that a few select people hate money since it money can get you in tough times also. It is also very hard to like money since when it all comes down to it, money is just paper(not literally) with a number on it. We all like what money can get us, but not the object itself. The right answer to that question, is "to be loved, cared for or noticed." Whoever says otherwise is lying. Most of everything we do is based off these 3 things.

Yes, I agree with your daughter. We cannot live without money. Money is a tool to buy our needs and wants. Without enough money, life can be miserable. It only becomes evil when we use money incorrectly but as long as we earning decently and we are using it to have a comfortable life there is nothing wrong to it. Your daughter is a smart kid.

Smart kid!I most certainly agree with her.. Almost everybody today likes money.. because with it, they can buy anything they want! =)
