I am not very good in directions kind of thing. If I need to go somewhere which I have not been there before or I am not familiar with, I will usually flip through the map before I start my way there.
If it is an important occassion, I will start off slightly earlier so that I will not be too late in case I lost my way in between.

LOL! I get lost driving around all the time. That is the reason why I use a GPS everywhere I go. I am also happy to say that I have never been late to any important occasion, as I always make sure to give myself an extra half hour or forty-five minutes - that way, if anything happens, I can always make up for the last time and still arrive on time.

I purchased a gps for my car before making a trip. I love it. We call her Maggie. My Son kept asking who that voice was every time she talked to us so we just simplified it all by telling him it was Maggie.
We took an out of town trip with it and now we drive everywhere. It helps us feel like we know we will get where we are going. In this economy we cant afford to fly like we used to so this was a life saver.

I have gotten lost on many occasions. It really helps me to study a map first before setting out on a trip or I get involved in a whole new adventure. One time I accidentally got on an expressway in the Detroit area and we were going south. I asked my friend to quick get my map out. She relaxed and said, "why don't we just stay on this road until it ends!" I asked her if she had her bathing suit packed since we were on I-75 and it goes from Michigan to Florida. We eventually found our way but it's not easy when you get to Detroit because getting off the expressway is really confusing. Almost all the signs marking the roads have been ripped down and that adds no comfort to the situation of being lost. All in all being late and getting lost has been a part of my life. It has gotten better since I went through eye therapy to fix dyslexia. At least I don't flip numbers anymore and get confused as to what time I need to be somewhere.

I always get lost when I'm looking for a new place. I have onstar, use a map, use mapquest before I go out, and I have gps on my phone. But I still manage to miss my exit or get lost. I'm not use to the city and am a landmark person. If you tell me directions in the way of describing the surroundings I'll find it but give me road names and exit numbers ya I'll miss it.
