Stamps? Movies? (that would be me) How about type writers? Well Tom Hanks does! he collects vintage typewriters. He has over 100 manual models dating from the 1930s until the last machines were manufactured. And he has them shipped from all around the world, often spending more on shipping than on the instruments themselves. http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/getback-tom-hanks.html How long have you been collecting? What would you like to collect?

My brother collects baseball cards as well. He has quite the collection. 2,500+ cards last time I bothered to ask. It is an interest he keeps up with.

I do like to collect movies and books. I have a lot of books on all types of subjects. When we moved the last time, the movers were a little bugged because of all the book boxes. I packed the books in smaller boxes so that they would not be hard to lift, but I think we had over 50 boxes of books and the number has grown over the years. I have books from home schooling, natural health, children's books, reference books, computer books, religious books, novels (not many), classics, encyclopedia sets, etc. As if that isn't enough, I love to go to the library. I try to keep them neat and tidy in bookcases but sometimes they spill over -- I forgot to mention recipe books.

My granddaughter must be collecting them too, as she wanted some of mine loo. She is only 7. so I guess that is ok lol. I want to collect the barbie dolls of the different countries. I only have one so far, and I want to collect more of them. Have a good day, and happy mylotting.

I don't actively collect anything anymore. Once upon a time in my younger years I used to collect castle sculptures and pig things. I had quite a few, but then things like clothes, diapers, and daycare became more important than those things.

I collect Stephen King books. I buy the paperback copies to read and when I can find then pretty cheap, I buy the hardbacks to collect. Right now, I only have a handful, but over time, my collection will increase. I also have a few Wizard of Oz items. I like that movie a lot, and ever since I was little, I have tried to pick up little trinkets here and there, but, I have lost many that I used to have. Over time, I have let a lot of the things that I once collected go. I have moved so many times and lost so many things in the process, I have just decided that until I am in a place where I intend to live the rest of my life, there is no sense in re-starting any of my collections.

I collect movie memorabilia. It may be posters, programs or props. I have a rather large collection. Unfortunately most of it is in storage as I do not have the room to display it all

i don't collect things as a hobby mainly because i do't have the money to do so. but i plan to in case i would be lucky one day to be able to afford this one good hobby. i think that this hobby is so fulfilling and creates some sense of accomplishment to have some sort of collection of some thing you long to have always.

I collect porcelain houses made by a company called Department 56. They have several different styles, or villages, that you can choose from and, basically set up your own city, with landscapes and houses and little people. I know it might sound a bit corny, but the first time I saw one village set up, I was hooked and wanted to start my own collection. I have two villages, the North Pole Village(Christmas theme of course) and the Halloween Village. I take a few weeks before the actual holidays season to set it up and then leave it up throughout the season.

Oh no not like that. when I was still a student I would collect stamps but not things like type writers. For that neither I had money enough nor interest to do so. But i appreciate the task of Mr. Tom Hanks.
