What did you think of Angels & Demons?

I saw the movie Angels & Demons yesterday on opening day. It had some bad reviews, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from seeing it, as I liked the first film (The Da Vinci Code) and I'm a big Tom Hanks fan. I thought it was great. I am usually very good at predicting plots because I see so many movies, but there was a plot twist there that I didn't anticipate, great acting (as you'd expect) and a lot of thought and care put into the sets depicting the Vatican and Vatican City along with real footage of the area. There certainly was plenty of action and the story itself was only a little far fetched. It was believable enough for the movies, though, and I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Was wondering what everyone else's thoughts were who has seen it.

I absolutely loved this movie. I just saw it last night and thought it was one of the better movies I have seen recently. Tom Hanks did a fantastic job (much better than he did in the Da Vinci Code) and the supporting actress was also good. I had read the book a couple years back, so I kind of knew what was going to happen in the end, but I thought that producers did a great job staying true to the book. The movie was kind of long, but honestly, I wish it could have kept going. I was no expecting this movie to be as good as it was, but a couple of my friends told me how good it was, so I gave it a shot, and honestly I thought it was worth the ridiculous price the movie theaters are charging to see a movie. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

I know your response has been the ONLY one so far, but I loved your enthusiastic comments, so I'm giving you a "best response". :-) I didn't read the book, so I wasn't able to comment on that, but I'm glad to know the movie stayed true to the book, as it's always disappointing when they don't. I see so many movies that I can, a lot of the time, predict the plot "twist" at the end of a movie, but this time I did NOT see the plot twist coming. I'm not going to write here what that was, since I don't want my post to be a movie "spoiler", but you obviously know what I'm talking about. I did predict one thing - the car blowing up on the bad guy after he completed all his "tasks" and thought he'd run off into the sunset with his money. I grew up in Las Vegas and I know about too many TRUE LIFE situations where mobsters plant bombs in cars, I think, so that was an easy thing to see coming! LOL Anyway... thanks for commenting and, YES everyone, follow alexjs's recommendation and GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
