Worst Restaurant/Food stories

I have had my fair share of bad experiences, but none that bad. I have had food served that was not done, I have found hair in my food, and I have even had silverware brought to me that was dirty, but never anything as bad as that. I think that I would have told them to keep the free meal and never returned to that place. I worked in the food industry for a long time, and I have never had to deal with anything like that. I think that if something liek that did happen, the responsible party would have been fired on the spot! The worst I heard of where I used to live was a Chinese restaraunt being closed down for "unidentifiable meat" in the kitchen. It wasn't a busy place to begin with, but that was not a pleasant thing to read in the local paper at that time.

I work in the industry so I've seen a lot, but personally eating out I have to say my worst experience was finding a bloody bandaid. I was almost done eating it was at the very bottom of the dish. Yuck! When I told the server all he said was "Oh! Miguel was wondering where his bandaid went. He almost cut off his finger earlier you know." The manager and I had a nice chat after that about food safety. When my coworker came to work a few days later and related another nasty story about the place from the night before I immediately called the health department. When they went to check the place out it was so gross they shut it down permanently-no second chance! It was a popular place too.

I am confused as to which one experience I should elucidate here. Because so many of them have happened to me in my life time. Hairs and nails are very frequently presented inside snacks. Rotten dish is another. But most surprising but pleasant experience was that with a vegetarian item in a restaurant containing a big piece of chicken leg. The leg was kept for some nonvegetarian dish and was placed unknowingly inside my item. It was beneficial for me though.

I've had a few bad experiences eating out at restaurants. A few years ago, we took our daughter and son-in-law out for a chinese meal. The restaurant is one I've always liked and had been craving the food there. Just as my son-in-law was about to take his first bite of food, something fell from the ceiling and landed right in the middle of his food. It was a long centipede. Now he will never go there again.
