Are you a calm person who like to explain things to somebody who really don t understand what you want or say?
Not all peoples have same level in understanding, and we must explain a lot something...are you a person who like and want to be more specific,?
Or if he don t understand you will not weaste your time?

I have been on both sides of this.. There are somethings that I understand quite well, and it is easy to start talking in what you could say a foreign language to others. I went to school for computer networking. When I first started I really didnt understand most of the technical termology.. Consistly asking questions, and having a converstaion that probably should have only taking a couple minutes end up going for hours just to get me to understand. I really appreicated the help, and understanding, or else I would have never really understood some of the basic concepts in Networking. Now when I talk/teach others about what I have learn, its quite easy for me to go over their heads and have no idea about what I am talking about. So I take the knowledge that I know, and figure out what they know. Like for example someone that works on cars. Instead of saying the names of the computer I will say something like the CPU of the computer is a lot like the engine in the car.. Its one of the main components that keep the car running.. So with this person that you are trying to help, try puting it into a language that they can understand, not always easy to do and can get frustrating but in the end its all worth it!!

Yes, but I take that same concept to all faucets of life. For example when you are explaining to a child why they can not do something. There is two ways of explaining the answer. The easy way to just say I told you so just do it. Or siting the child down and explaining it to them in words they can understand. So may be next time they will remember the converstation verses I told you so. Make sense?

Hi, Ice!
I guess it's because I'm a teacher that I'm used to having to explain things repeatedly. I know some people find it annoying to have to do this, but I don't. I try to hang in there until somebody does understand.

it actually depends on the situation.usually i am more patient to explain to someone what message i would like to convey.i think what i'm after is that they're trying their best to understand me.but if the one i'm talking to is not really listening to me,then i'm just basically wasting my time explaining.if i encounter persons like that,i usually don't dwell on them more.

Well when someone asks me the same things many times i do like to explain it to them it many times, but then i feel like i am a bad teacher and that is the reason they are not getting it. so i stop telling them and say that this is all. but i am not sure if they understand it still. But i keep patience upto i am ok with it, not for too long i guess.

Patience and tolerance are positive and impressive traits of your personality. The more patient and tolerant you are, the better and effective your dealing and handling of the situation is. Sometimes, people do frustrate and deject us to the extent of losing our patient. We feel like bursting out. Yet, I believe, your patience counts a lot in the long run. I try not to lose patience and try my best to bring round the people to what I mean even I have to repeat several times.
