Whilst I have a credit card in hand, I normally pay by cash wherever possible. I feel that paying by cash helps give me an overview of my current financial standing much better than paying by credit card. In other words, I can know how much money I have with me at a certain point of time knowing that I have no debts. I only pay with credit cards if it is more convenient to do so, if I am short of cash at a certain point of time, or credit card is the only method of payment accepted (ie. for flight bookings online). I am seriously considering a debit card now because it uses up money in my savings instead of putting me into debt like a credit card does; hence, I won't have that urge to spend as much as I currently do!

I use both. How? it depends on the purchases I made. For big purchases, I definitely use my credit card because I don't like bringing huge amount of cash but if its just small purchase, I use cash to pay for it.

usually i used cash but i have with me credit card for emergency purposes.before i go to shopping im withdrawing first the needed amount which i budgeted.Using of credit cards sometimes will make me not aware of the price and discounts and that ruins my budget.and also i want to be refrain from the interest by the bank.Howevre, Im using cards also for the discounted products that require the payment through it.

If I go shopping in the mall, I will pay by creditcard. If I buy some common goods in the shop nearby, I always pay by cash, because there is no POS machine to support the creditcard. I think it is very convenience to pay by creditcard. But I usually spend more money by this way, because I don't see the cash and always buy more goods, some of which have never been used, just because of the feelings of that time.

Normally I have cash on hand as well as my credit card, but it always depends on how much the bill is. If it's over $15 I usually pay with credit card and under I use cash.

Debit Card - This is Malaysia Maybankard Debit Visa Card
When doing my shopping, I pay using cash for small amount items. For big amount items I will use credit card, but I do restricted to use credit card as previously due to inappropriate usage of credit card, I'd put myself into trouble where I was in debt quite heavily with credit card payment. Since then I try to reduce to using credit card for my purchase. And recently, I mostly use cash or debit card, I find that debit card is a good way of paying our merchandise and convenient too as it is a good way of not to have to carry too much cash in hand and at the same time able to pay for our shopping and not to get into financial trouble. This is because debit card only deduct your payment for merchandise to the limit of the cash in your bank account.

I usually pay for things with cash or if I do not use cash, I use my debit card which is tied to my checking account so I never have to worry about charging things and possibly running up credit card debt which is another debt that I do not need to worry about at this point in time.

I am wary of using credit cards for shopping, got into a lot of trouble because of that. These days I either use cash or debit cards only. Its just as convenient without the debt issue. From now on, I keep my credit cards for emergencies only.

We usually prefer to have a cash on hand before we shop, to prevent unnecessary incident, and the same time enjoy.
