which do you like more?ironing or doing laundry?

hi flagella08! Nice discussion, lol..because it was always happened at home before I got married. I have 2 sisters and a brother. We were used to have a maid, and when the maid gone or took her annual leave, there came the disaster, lol. My mother is a very clean person, and always asked the girls (including me) to do all these household duties when the maid was not there. Well, none of us like to do that basically, but we had to..and we did always quarrel who had to do the laundry things, ironing, washing diseases, or cleaning the house. Me personally, I like cleaning the house, and my younger sister likes the ironing. She could ironing the clothes neatly with a short time, while me..don't ask, lol..The thing is, no one like to do the laundry, because we did not use washing machine..and my mother usually did the laundry when the maid was not around (she washed for the six of us!!). We feel sorry for her, though..and in order to replace my mother, we had to take turn in laundrying..lol, since no one wanted to do that. Well, anyway, answering your question, I prefer doing laundry to ironing. I could never stand ironing!! It's a difficult job for me, and if I do that, it surely takes me a long, long time..hehehe...

i do like ironing more than washing clothes cause it is harder to get rid of bad smell and dirt out of clothes than just to iron them straight and neat. with ironing i can get to watch my favorites shows too. i do iron in front of the television.

I really don't mind doing the two but if i would have my choice, then i'd choose ironing. I really don't find it hard to iron a lot of clothes. I think it's fun. lol! I always challenge myself to iron as fast and as good as i can whenever i'm in the ironing mood. I have this way of ironing and it's like automatic for me. I do find it hard to iron soft clothing because it kind of gets messed up on the horse. Washing.. well as long as i'm using a washing machine, i'm good to go. Washing with bare hands can really be draining especially when i am washing denim pants which gets too heavy when soaked on water.

both were really recognized as heavy chores... uhmmm... for me i'd prefer doing the laundry because i don't know how to iron clothes... only my hair... lol... aside form that when i was still very young i suffered burns from the iron...

For me i prefer doing laundry than ironing, because of the weather in our country, laundry is much colder work than ironing, because ironing makes me sweat very fast and the energy that the iron need is to much high than laundry.

I prefer to choose laundry than ironing. I cant sacrifice of ironing clothes because its too hot for me. And after doing that we should avoid washing our hands , iot can trigger to paralism of our nerves in the body. Its nice to wash clothes even if it is more we can wash as we want and iron after.

You are right, of all the house chores .... laundry and ironing are two quite heavy chores . I can do both the laundry and ironing work. My ironing work is not so good compare to doing laundry. However, after getting help from my mom ( she is very good in ironing, fast and can get those clothes iron nicely ), my ironing work improve a lot. However, if I have the choice, I will of course prefer to do laundry as I can do it using washing machine;-)

I prefer ironing to doing laundry because doing laundry carries with it a certain kind of smell which some people do not like. But if we oron our clothes ourselves then it will be perfect and the smell or odour will certainly be not there.

if i had to pick one, i'd pick laundry. not very good at ironing and it's very tiring too.

Hi friend, It is quite common in each and every house.Even in my house also it will happen some times.I am having one sister.My mother also distribute the work among us.Most of the work is done by my mother itself.Coming to ironing and laundry,we have a worker who does it for us.So instead of these works we will be attached to other works like keeping the house clean and tidy.Thats all.If you ask me particular,than i opt for laundry than that of ironing which is far better. Well i would say laundry cuz after all its the washing machine that's doing all the work and ironing the iron would not automatically iron the clothes hehe so its quite boring and tiresome.

i like ironing than doing laundry, what makes me like about ironing is that you just have to iron and fold the clothes while laundry takes a lot of time, you made sure that clothes are properly wash especially the white ones, and it takes a lot of effort.

I would take doing laundry any day as long as I didn't have to fold and put away the clothes! Oh how I can't stand folding and putting clothes away.

I'd better do the laundry. Its that I enjoy doing laundry chores.

I rarely ever iron, so I would say I prefer doing he laundry.

Since I wash my clothes using automatic washing machine, I don't mind doing the laundry. I just have to hang them up to let them dry. But it's not really a choice since I need to do both at home. I am the eldest daughter and my younger sister didn't stay with us. So, it's normal for me to do all the work. I'll ask my youngest sister to hang up the clothes so I can do the ironing. Besides, I don't trust her with the ironing job.

Well I don't really like either but doing the laundry is easier to me. I hate ironing. That is why when I put the clothes in the dryer I don't overstuff the dryer and then I pull them out and hang them up right away. Less ironing.

yup..ironing is better.. u dnt have to depend on laundary as well u can take care of ur cloths as well u can chose d type of ironing tooooo
