Love the one you love or the one who love you?

I came across this question today. The girl who asked me this question told me that she fell in love for the first time with this guy who is one year older than her. This guy have once, told her friend that he might be falling for her too. Her friend informed her about this and started to tease her everyday about it. She like him, but started to deny about it and started to 'push' him to her friend and treated that guy badly(as in verbally) to cover her embarrassment. I think it is normal for a girl to treat someone she like badly though and I am very sure that the guy knows her feeling too, however, that guy become very hostile toward her and ended liking her friend. Then another guy, her school senior, started to go after her, telling her that he love her and other mushy things like that. Even though he is treating her like a princess, she told me that he is not the type of guy that she like. Now she still like that guy who fell in love with her friend but and have been crying for a couple of days after the other two get together. She is still trying to stay strong, smiling in front of them because the three of them are good friends. She told me that she have got no idea on how to avoid them and she have to suffer by herself when she saw the two of them being close to each other. I have got no idea how to console her. Can anyone tell me, in a situation like this, what can I do for her?
