Really! Chamomile I've heard for relaxation only. Thanks! Peppermint I never thought about it, but yeah, I heard that's why mexican restaurants have the basket of them on your way out (and I thought it was just for your breath!). I know that peppermint tea is a nice pick me up in the afternoons! Thanks for replying!!

It is always best to consult a trained herbalist, or check with your doctor before ever starting any remedy or treatment. Also what I posted links to may or may not be FDA approved....

Actually, I think that no herbal remedies are FDA approved. That's why the government is trying to get it that way...more revenue! Thank you for the links. I'm very interested in the Native american one. Also, good point about checking with doctors. People think that just since it's natural that it won't react with their other medications. Thank you! Happy new years to you and yours! Aloha!

I've already mentioned perppermint and lavender oils for migraines in another thread of yours. They work really well. (Aromatherapy is supposed to work)
Lavender on your pillow helps you sleep. Even lavender oil on your bedside table works. I swear by it!
Chamomile tea is laso good to help you sleep. Very good for babies with colic. Helps soothe the tummy and helps them sleep.
Make a tea with a couple of teaspoons of carraway seeds for wind. Especially good after bowel surgery! Helps stop the pain of wind.
If you get the runs (diarrhea) grate an apple and sprinkle with lemon juice. Eat it raw. It works!

Oh, my! Those last 2 are especially good to know! Haha! Very useable! Hmm..I wonder if you get the same effect as the carraway tea if you eat the seeds direct. I'll have to look that up and see if they can be incorporated directly into recipies for problem foods. Cool! Thanks!!
