do you have four eyes..?

I have been myopic all my life. I had to start wearing glasses in third grade. I remember then, I was so embarrassed and scared to have to wear glasses. I was called four-eyes. In high school, the boys chanted, "Boys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses." If you wore glasses, boys didn't give you a second look, unless, the boy had glasses, and maybe he would. When I had my own job and money, the first thing I did was to get contact lenses. I've been wearing them ever since, and I only wear glasses as backup, to give my eyes a break when I've worn my contact lenses too long. Sometimes I'll forget and wear them for two months straight without removing them.

Yes, I also have four eyes. I wear glasses not specs I have to wear mine all of the time. For driving, watching tv, using the computer and whatever else that's in the house that I need to see. I don't wear them to bed of course I take them off before I jump into bed and then its right back to wearing them as soon as I get dressed.

I am suppose to have 4 eyes but two of them (my best two) are broekn and I have not gotten them replaced. Instead, I walk around as if I can really see well when in fact I don't see much of anything. Some days that is not so bad because there are things you just don't want to see or expressions on people's faces that you know will disturb you. I do get frustrated when I want to see a menu or something quickly but I forget that my other two eyes have gone AWOL.

i wear specs since i need them to make my eyesight normal and because i paid for them . i don't want to waste my money in any way. contacts are quite expensive in my case since it has to be a very special kind of contact lens since i also have astigmatism. it does make a lot of difference without it. you know, aesthetically. but since not everyone can get away with eyeglasses i just tailor my clothes' colors to jive with my horn rimmed eyegalsses .

So far I'm still good with 2 eyes, but I figure my time is coming. EVERYONE in my family has glasses or contacts. I can't even think of a distant relative that doesn't, so figure either my DNA is backwards, I'm secretly adopted, or I'll end up like the rest of the family eventually.

oh.It is very funny .The heading of your discussion attracted me to respond.Well.I dont wear specs.My eyes condintion is very good and normal.Earlier when i was in college i had to wear specs becoz of spending too much time on studying.After i finished education it has become normal and thrown out that specs.I just really hate to wear specs when i go out.

I wear glasses most of the time. I find if i go without them eventually it causes a headache. So to avoid that i keep em on.

i started wearing eyeglasses when i was 5. i think it's hereditary because all of us in the family have poor vision. i switched to contacts when i was in college. i wear contacts when going out and eyeglasses when i'm at home so that my eyes can "breathe." :) my 4 year old daughter has poor vision too and she now wears eyeglasses. :(

Hello abanerji, yes I also have 4 eyes. I am basically blind without the other 2. Tomorrow I am going in for a new refraction for contact lenses and new spectacles. I had no choice but to go in because my left temple broke and my older preciptions is too strong and the axis changed.I am hoping the dr will prescribe the type of contact lenses I prefer because the last one the base curve it too steep when I have a flater cornea.

Hi sis, I am all specs. Had this ornament when I was in my second year of BA and ever since this has not left its companion and now I have been suggested to have a pair of bifocal glass. You should not look odd with specs as I know your face but it has to be befitting.

I had around 2 years before. But I don't felt comfortable, anyway, I can still function normally.

yes, i am. But.... i have no choice. I need them to watching TV, reading, submit my opinion to Mylot. Although my power is not too much, but i will feel comfortless without other two eyes. It is too blurry to see.

I don't have four eyes, that is without spectacles and with my beautiful dark brown eyes.. I hope I don't get one when I get old.

Yes i too have four eyes.I use my specs for seeing long distance.Previously i too used to wear specs only in college I never used to wear it out.Now i wear my specs all the time.If i go in public crowded places then people might bang the specs so i keep it in the pocket.I too never wear lenses.If we forget to remove it before sleeping.It will cause problem in the eyes.

I do have four eyes :D The only time I take my glasses off is when I sleep. I can't even walk along the street or commute without glasses - it gives me a headache. I tried going to a grocery store without them and heck did I have an awful headache after. I have never tried wearing contact lenses. They seem pretty expensive compared to glasses. I guess I'm just afraid to lose a piece and end up having to buy a new pair. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I cant wear contacts because of my eye condition, but I have glasses. I choose never to wear them as they seem really weak to me and just give me a headache anyway. My optician said its my choice whether or not I wear them and I just choose not to.

Dear god, I totally agree with you,lately i found that my vision is from bad to worse.i had a very hard time.I found that i couldn't see stuff clearly even they are near from me.i can't see people faces clearly.The feel so bad am i am scare.whether one day in morning.i open my eyes but i couldn't see anythings So a month ago i went to the glassstore. and bought a pair of glassesTo be honstly i don't like wear glasses too.

Its funny you say four eyes. Brought back a memory, I got home from work one night with my kids, and this one little girl I will call her was trying to push up on my husband. When I confronted her with all my anger, she had the nerve to lie to me and told me she thought she was talking to someone else (who was african american), I told her that I have FOUR Eyes therefor I am not blind! Everyone that heard me say that started laughing cause its true. I wear glasses all the time, sometimes contacts. Can't see nothing without them on.

I am one of the fortunate few that don't yet need glasses or contacts. I am sure that will change, as they say that by age 50, half of all people will need reading glasses. My Mom uses both contacts and glasses. Sometimes she uses reading glasses while wearing contacts. My husband doesn't need glasses yet either. I guess we are just lucky but I know our luck won't last forever!
