My computer monitor is recently showing some dark spots on the top of the screen. Its going to be two weeks now and the spot keeps on increasing in size day by day. At at this rate my monitor will become blank by the end of this month. If any of my fellow mylotters have faced this problems please share here how and what to do in order to avoid this increasing dark spot or to stop this. Please help me out.

Would your monitor still be in warranty. Now I know that is a very big hassle but I was reading where one person did that and received a new monitor in 12 days. No explanation of the problem of course.
I would advise that you do an extensive search on line for problems with you brand monitor. It is possible that you may find a fix for it but there is a better than even chance you will have to have it repaired or buy a new one if out of warranty.
The link that follows will give you an idea of what you may need to know to fix it yourself. This web site is talking about a laptop display but it works pretty much the same way. Just something to give you an idea of what you may be facing it you want to diagnose it yourself.

Thank you for the response and the link that you have given me. This is a very good link an in the future it will be very helpful. Right now its increasing in size and i am planning of taking it to a repair shop as soon as possible as the warranty is already over.
