or do you use chocolate beauty products, or burn chocolate candles? What have you had or made that was unique and chocolate? I made chocolate play doh when I worked in a pre school. I am including the recipe, but I would also like to know how to make a good chocolate coffee at home, without sweetening it, and I would love to know about any chocolate homemade beauty recipes. Cocoa dough 1 ½ C flour ½ C cocoa ½ C salt ½ T Cream of tartar 1 ½ T cooking oil 1 C boiling water Combine all dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Stir in boiling water and work til dough forms. Keep in airtight container. Shape and air dry. Kids that are used to playing with play doh will know this is not candy. If they were to try to eat it, they would stop. It will not make them sick it is all food products. Have fun. Enjoy some chocolate every day.

Nah, I mostly just eat chocolate. But I have had chocolate candles or scented stuff. They're ok, but I'd rather have something to eat!

One year Suave had chocolate scented body lotion. My mom said she always hated to smell like food.

I know a while back, everyone was smelling like vanilla. Some use a perfume and some just used straight vanilla out of the bottle. It drove me nuts!

Thanks for the recipe. I'm going to make it with my grandchildren. I like any kind of chocolate and just planted some chocolate Basil seeds. I can't wait for them to start growing so I can taste it.

Have fun doing this with your grandkids. I have not heard of chocolate basil, but I have had chocolate mint. That was fun to have and grow.

Oh boy, chocolate mint sounds even better than chocolate basil, I'm going to go see if I can find some of those seeds to buy, thanks.

Cream of tartar is a leavening agent. Can be found in baking aisles. As some have said, the cocoa butter is a skin softener. I like chocolate scent in some grooming products. I wonder if it is as good as coffee for tightening up the skin.

I must be a minority because I pretty much only eat chocolate. I havent really come across many of the chocolate beauty products, so I just do the oldfashioned thing and eat my chocolate bars or put chocolate in baking. My one weird thing is that I do like "traditional" chocolate drinks, which are pretty much pure cocoa with no sugar added. Most people think unsweetened chocolate or the extremely dark chocolates are too bitter, but I absolutely love them.

I am a fan of dark chocolate, and something called chocolate nibs, which I think are roasted chocolate beans.

I love dark chocolate, never made anyhing with chocolate that you didn't eat. The chocolate play doug does sound like fun. I forgot to ask you on the other post about the kool aid dough, does it stain your hands. Thanks for sharing the great recipes.

No, the koolaid seems to be all absorbed with the flour and does not stain your hands or the table. Makes some pretty colors, though. I used cherry koolaid dough with my chocolate dough at Valentines for the kids.

This would be fun to make GG. I haven't made playdoh for the kids in a long time. The aroma of it would be too tempting for me though. Just the smell of chocolate gets me hankering for some!

We did this at Valentine's at the preschool. We had white, and red and cocoa colored play dough and made little heart shaped cookies and tarts as part of our pretend play.

I like chocolate too but right now I dont feel like eating one coz I think I'm having a tonsilitis. The weather her is sometimes cold and sometimes hot. but mostly I kinda feel cold at night. I dont have tonsilitis right now but I think its going there so Im trying to resist it from going there. I still have chocolates at the fridge but I'm not in the mood to eat that yet. If I have time I'll try to do your recipe. Thanks!

You are pretty smart not to eat chocolates if you do not feel good. Try some hot chicken soup instead. I hope you feel better soon.

Eating, by far, is the best thing you can do with chocolate . I had a chocolate-scented pen once, and a chocolate-scented candle. Neither of them really smelled very much like chocolate though. They reminded me more of the scent of burning plastic, and I ended up throwing both of them away. I did try a chocolate cordial once, and it was pretty good. Nothing beats a chocolate peanut butter cup though...lol.

The most unique thing I ever made with chocolate, was an "all-chocolate" wedding cake. The cake was chocolate, the side icing was chocolate an it was flooded with melted chocolate on the top. It was a two tier cake, and ended up looking quite good, I thought. I put some gold ribbon around it and sprinkled the tops with a gold petal dust, and it looked good in the end. I also love eating chocolate bars. My favourite is Cadbury's Turkish Delight, and my second favourite, Cadbury's Double Decker. Yummmmm! I'm a choccy fiend! Brightest Blessings.

I remember that cake. I do not think we get Turkish Delight on this side of the pond. We do have some Cadbury's products but not all of them.

This is an interesting recipe. I have seen chocolate scented soaps for sale and thought "why would I want to walk around smelling like chocolate"? But then I use cocoa butter and end up smelling like chocolate anyway, lol.

We used to use cocoa butter to tan with. It was like frying ourselves. I sure love that smell though, as it brings back good memories.

I think the problem was "tanning" by design. People tan naturally in small amounts just by being outdoors. In small amounts sun exposure is healthy. It is important to take care of the skin though and doing things like using aloe after exposure helps your skin.

Well, I do like to eat chocolate. However, for chocolate products, so far I had bought before the chocolate scented candles once. Do imagine how the room smell after lighting up the candle. The room was full of chocolate smell, and makes me really want to eat as well. That's the only and last time I ever bought another 1 of the chocolate scented candles again. The smell is too divine that I only manage to sleep after some time... The above recipe is interesting. Maybe I will try first at home when I have the time to do it...

I am a huge chocolate fan. I use chocolate beauty products. I get complements when I use these products. But some people would rather not go around smelling like hot chocolate. Some think its just sickingly sweet. But I love it. I use other sweet smelling beauty products and I love them all. I have a couple of chocolate candles that I burn and it leaves my house smelling great. Like chocolate, the way I want it. LOL

Hi, welcome to MyLot. The thing I like about chocolate candles and beauty products is you get the great aroma of chocolate, and it lifts your spirits, but there are no calories involved.
