Easy Dinner

Sunday is the day that my husband and I usually spend relaxing. We try to make time for each other. We also use that day to just relax. That also means that Sunday night dinners are something easy and quick. Tonight was rice with sausages. It tasted great. I was able to sit on the couch with my husband most of the time that it was cooking. There also wasnt much to clean up, which makes me even happier. The clean up is my least favorite part of making dinner! Is there a day during the week that you usually have an easy dinner? What are some of your favorite easy dinners to make?

Usually i would cook with the rest of my family members cause that is fun and it will make us closer to each other. Cooking simple food such as fried rice, but usually i mix some vegetables such as corn, peas and carrots and also meet such as beef and sausages to the rice to make it rich of nutrition and varieties. The best part was we don't use plates to eat we use paper plates that we just eat and throw and hence no cleaning was needed and that is just so easy and relaxing for us all to enjoy a movie after a simple dinner and talk about life.

I know that a lot of people use paper plates to avoid the cleanup. I just cant bring myself to do it! It seems so wasteful. Its not like I can avoid all dishes by doing that - I still have to wash pots and pans! So 2 plates isnt a big deal. Thanks for your input!

well, my hubby does the majority of the cooking, but i cook as well sometimes. i guess it depends- i love making pot roast, and to me it is pretty easy. sure, there is some work involved- cutting up veggies and browning the meat- but after that is done i just throw everything in the crockpot and let it cook all day. i also love the kraft website- they have tons of recipes that are easy to make and don't require alot of ingredients. you can sign up to receive their free kraft magazine once a month, and it has new recipes each month. i use lots of these as well. :)

Thanks for the tip on the Kraft website. I will definitely have to check that out! I actually just got finished with a cookbook from Campbell's soup. They had tons of good ideas too. Stuff like that can definitely make life easier. Pot Roast in the crockpot is one of my favorite meals. I love coming home from work and having the whole house smell delicious and dinner being ready!

I always love to make some fast and easy... this meal sound good to me. I will try this coming weekend. I usually have soup that already cooked or bbq that already cooked... all we have to do is reheat them again and then eat.

I try to make easy dinners for my husband and me every night because we are at our shop until 6:00. Some of my favorites are barbequed chicken wings, taco salad, pasta with any number of sauces and other additions like meatballs, sausage or chicken, fried rice. I also have grown very fond of my crockpot. I put a roast in it with veggies on top and it's nice and done by the time we get home. The same with a whole chicken.

most of my dinners are easy dinners as im a student. but sundays for me are a relaxing day and i dont even feel like putting anything in the oven so its usually some pasta or noodles for me with some toast. I know it sounds boring but it keeps me going.

I usually pick up a box of soup normally roasted red pepper and tomato from the store. When I get home I heat the soup and top with a dollop of either sour cream or goat cheese. When I need something a little heavier but still just easy I will do the soup but add grilled cheese on the side. Normally I use a honey wheat bread with a small amount of dijon or horseradish mustard and fontina cheese it pairs great with the soup.

If i want to have an easy dinner, i usually will go for fried rice. As for me, i think that's the easiest to cook and yet tastes very nice at the same time. I only will put some vegetables, a few slice of meat, eggs and some sausages..When you freid them together, it tastes very nice. At the same time, i don't need to wash many plates, too..So, i can spend my time more on relaxing with my family..
