http://www.wyff4.com/news/19486952/detail.html Would you be interested in eating at a shop named Psycho Donut Shop??? Even more would you be interested in eating a pastry that oozes red blood with a name of Massive Head Trauma, or maybe Bipolar, or even Cereal Killer??? Would you be willing to protest the opening of such an establishment??? Please read the link & give me your thoughts!!! Do you find it offensive or funny??? You can vote while you're there!!!

Having been a caregiver for a head trauma patient & several stroke patients, I just could not in all good conscience give them my business. I know I wouldn't eat there!!!

Hi ladyM, I am quite disgusted with this man, if he wants people to lighten up, why can't he give free doughnuts free for an hour each week, that will certainley lighten people up but not calling the food rather distasteful names, the shop should be close down. Tamara

Rather than giving free donuts, maybe he should donate a percentage of the profits to a local hospital's head trauma unit!!! That way he could get a tax write off while the hospital benefited from the donation!!!

I don't think I would go to these kinds of places. I hope no one opens places like this. That just does not sound good at all.

Like the one poster here one has to look at it from both sides of the issue--that yes, it may be offending to people with mental disorders, but I don't know I have a pretty warped sense of humor and find it kind of funny....hey I've been battling with anxiety disorder so maybe they should have a donut called anxiety attack

I usually have a warped sense of humor, but I find this one EXTREMELY insensitive!!! I could hear you if he had named the store Drowning Witches & named a pastry Kill the Black Cat (bite off his head & it oozes blood). He was just on TV & his attitude was very cavalier. This is a novelty type store so I don't anticipate it lasting very long.

If the doughnut is good, I don't care if it is named "Kurt Cobain's brain." I'll eat it! However, very little is offensive to me. I think it is an interesting idea. I'm sure it doesn't appeal to the more conservative types, but I would definitely give it a try.

I've always been told that I was way too liberal!!! However, I find the names of these pastries to be of such bad taste as to be borderline offensive. I can remember the days that I would have laughed & ran out to buy one, but those days are long gone!!! I have had too many friends with massive head trauma, strokes, bipolar disorder, etc to even find a small chuckle inside me. Many say lighten up. However, once you see close up how these things affect friends' lives, it's hard to look at the light side of it!!! Conservative??? I don't think so. Wiser in old age??? Probably!!!

I can kinda agree with both sides on that. It just seems like no matter what is going on in the world, SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE is going to complain about it. People don't always see eye to eye on everything. Yeah, its not to bright to open up a shop with that name and with food with those names, but THERE ARE people out there that will find that COOL and will go and eat there just because of those names. Also, the people who are protesting are just going to make even more people go there just to check it out and see what the big deal is....so the protestors aren't exactly helping the situation. I can see where the protestors are coming from, as far as Head Trauma and stuff not being a joking matter, or a light subject, but then again, the place isn't necessarily MAKING FUN OF those things, they are just finding a different way to try and appeal people to their business. In my opinion, it's neither offensive NOR FUNNY, but I might think diffently if I had Head Trauma or Bipolar disorder.

Wow! Heck Yeah..to bad we don't have one here, I think it would be kinda cool to go to see all that they had and what names they gave them all. It is strange that a Donut shop would call itself that and have those silly names for the donuts..I wonder what the bipolar donut is..? I do not find it offensive at all. I think it is kinda funny and voted that as well. As the man said from the link, if we can't laugh at ourselves then we have problems..I can also understand the others from their point of view also about the head trauma thing...but I doubt that is whom they were thinking of when they named the donuts that.

Well my birthday is the day after Halloween and we have made/had plenty of weird things at some of those parties like that. I have an entire set of websites bookmarked with odd looking recipes.

LOL That is fabulous. Like the news article points out with the one guy who is bipolar and thinks it's funny, people need to lighten up a little and take humor things for humor. I think it's a brilliant idea, with how into all of the vampire, zombie, and horror things that this country is. Really, it's not much different than the candy blood, and I dont see anemic people throwing a fit about that...
