Like Bones and House!! cant the writers come up with any new ideas? they've got to use the SAME plot now? im so disappointed last week they both had the same plot AND the same disappointment to me. For years I've watched and loved these dearly. always, like everyone else looked forward to Dr. House getting it on with Cuddy and Detective Booth getting it on with Bones/Dr. Brennen. last week they all got it on(if you know what i mean) I was so happy for House to hook up with Cuddy, then Bones hooked up with Booth, BUT, alas, it was an hallucination.House went off to the mental ward!! then, Booth was having hallucinations when they hooked up because hes having brain surgery.!!Crap!! anyone else watch these and got total disappointed and let down after such elation. ?? and now House is having 4 months off!! dont know about Bones. maybe these writers need a break? so they can come up with new ideas? uuuhhhggg!!

well i've gotten addicted to both these shows because for a while they kept up with the personal lives. its almost as bad as soap operas thats the reason i stopped watching ER a long time ago because it was like an ongoing thing and if you miss it its like missing a soap!!

that sounds kind of what was happening with Star Gate SG1 and Farscape there for a while, Star Gate would do an episode and then Farscape would do something very simular - except on acid!

It thoroughly amazes me that these shows (particularly the CSI franchise) come up with new story lines. I really have to give them credit. I'm not a watcher of the 2 shows you mention but I've recently seen some Bones previews and might give it a try sometime if it doesn't coincide with a regular program I watch. I agree that it would be disappointing a a royal pain in the patootie to have mirror plots of your favourite shows.

I dont' know what's up with any shows on TV these days. They are all just jam packed full of not much more than s*x, violence and crime! What happened to the fun shows that you could just sit and watch and have fun with and not have to work so hard to watch, keep track of and put together the plots! I don't watch hardly any shows now. There is more to life than those 2 themes.. but hollywood just don't seem to remember that. Reality shows are taking over and getting dummer by the season!!!

Its just a discussion, respond as you please! But to clearify a bit ... I like Survivor - it has dropped in its quality, but still fun to watch. I really enjoyed the challeneges, but they are just not what they used to be anymore and all they ever show are clips from the survivors arguing and complaining and bickering and who's alliancing with who and crap on the other ones! Granted that is part of the show, but I liked watching the day to day living activities and how they lived out there with nothing. I have seen some previews of new ones like Hitched or Ditched.. where they apparently take two couples to the alter and "allow" one or the other to walk. Who wants to see that?

I have not seen Bones or House in ages. Ever since the local Fox affiliate went digital I have not seen any shows broadcast on that channel. A new tv is just not a priority.

Hey! I love "House", and I recent that. I think that they do come up with pretty good plots and storylines every now and then. I do not know about "Bones" because I never watch that, but I do watch "House" and that is an awesome show. Hugh Laurie is awesome. "It's not lupus!"

We seen this in many serials. The X-Files with Mulder and Scully Moonlighting with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepeard Friends with Jennifer Aniston It is the anticipation of them hooking up which keep us glued to the screen. Once they hook up... there is nothing left... and it is the end of the serial. And even when the serial end... it is still left in the wind. In none of the three serials listed above... did they marry and live happily ever after. It is a tease thing... and it works. lol

years ago, it worked. not to mention its done all the time on soaps. im sure it would work on these shows. they could have kids, etc. theres other plots you know. these writers, if they were really good, they could do it. and guess what, i continued to watch when on friends, monica got married to chandler, because i wanted to see if they had a baby, etc. i would have watched it forever. so, i think theres no excuse.

Yes... but those are different kind of shows... The plot about Dr House has nothing to do with his love life. It is about his work as a doctor. If you make his love life more important than his work... you kill the show. In Friends... It was all about Jennifer Aniston. Monica was only the second wheel. Friends could have go on without Monica... But not without Jennifer...

You are right, I am so shocked with the ending of House. Not a constant follower of Bones though. Shock and pity is what I felt after the episode. Don't know though on how the next season would go... Cheers!

I love both of those shows and watch them religiously. They are great. I enjoy watching them both. With these TV shows there is only so far that they can go. I mean eventually they all end up the same direction. It is just how TV Goes. they all come to an end at some point so they are all gonig in the direction of having a closing point before people get tired of watching them. I dont get disappointed by the shows. I think they are great. I love the characters and think they do a great job acting. I do get sick and tired of them having so many big breaks and stuff. its like why not just write a bunch for the whole year of the show. I just get frustrated because these actors get paid so much for not working year round.

exactly and the writers also. more imaginative people could have that job.

I have also noticed that and I guess boring ideas from one show to the next is very common now. I remember when writers were very creative and would come up with ideas that were not used before on any other show. Do you guys think the reason is that they can not come up with any good ideas or it is simply because they know that the plot was a success previously on another show that is why they are using it.

well if thats the case, they are being lazy and in this day and time maybe new writers need to replace some lazy ones. lots of people are in need of jobs and they dont need to be lazy on their job or face the conseqences.

Hi bunnybon&, I have never watched any of those shows and I have notice though, they are back on our screen, they are new series, I might watch it to see what is all about. I haven't watched much tv these days as I am always on my computer, yes the tv is on for background noise and for company so I will try and watch them next week when they come on. Hugs. Tamara

You see it clearly indicate that they need to end their season(s) on a good note, before they start loosing all their TRP's. Hah Ha!!
