Are you a music lover? Does it help you from relieving your stress? Is it really a form medication for you or not at all?

I love listening to music Pratik. I am a big fan of Hindi songs and Bengali songs too. But the lyrics should be good and the tune should be pleasing to the ears. Most of the songs I hear these days dont appeal to me...I am an oldie fan and can listen to most songs of yesteryears. Kishore Kumar is like a lifeline...I alwasy get reguvenated whenever I listen to his songs. Rabindrasangeet is another altime favourite...there's a song from Tagore for every occassion of life.

I have had a very bad headache for about five days now. Tonight I decided to try something different to relieve the pain. I set my ipod playlist to the softer, slower songs I had downloaded. Some of them were simply instrumental, with no lyrics. It certainly relieved a lot of my tension. Much better than a pill would have. Of course music doesn't work for me when I have a full blown migraine, but it certainly has its medicinal purposes.

Oh yes, music is very much a part of my life! I'm a musician, anyway. Yes, it does relieve a lot of stress. What kind of music do you like? I listen to country music a lot but I also like the oldies from the '50s, '60s, and '70s. I like some from the '80s as well. I sing and play the guitar at one nursing home and one assisted living facility a month. I'm supposed to go to the assisted living facility to sing tomorrow. Kathy.

How cool! I bet the residents love it. Have you heard Jewel's song Cowboy's Lament from her new CD? I dowloaded it to my ipod. It is pure country music heaven to my ears.

No, I don't think I've ever heard this song. It sounds like it must be very good, though. I don't listen to Jewel very much, though. Not that I don't like her. I just always thought she was more pop than country, I guess. I'd like to hear this song sometime, though. Reckon I can find it on youtube? Kathy.

"Music is my sanctuary" it relieves me from stress, motivates me to do something, comforts me when I need, makes me happy..I could go on and on - its a universal language that makes me "feel" whether I want it to or not. I don't think I could live without it.

Music is a necessity. i love all types from classical to hip hop. There are songs that shoot right through me. others take my breath away.others are good for when I need to let off steam. and there are songs I sing when I am very happy. I need music like I need food.

I love musice and it helps me in many ways. It helps me relieve stress, calms me when Im angry or mad. My companion when Im alone or no one to talk to specially when travelling. It keeps me occupied when Im doing nothing like I sing in every song I hear.
