With the limitless possibilities and service of internet. Do you think it will be a popular way to buy groceries by ordering online and not to buy them in real store. but for me i think that will be much expensive than buying it yourself. but i do think it may be one day a normal thing. with the advancement of things and lives. they may be able to find a way to make internet shopping very affordable for most people. if that time comes, i will definitely use that feature and would only by things by myself on real store on few things. so that i would not have to carry every thing.

I didn't know you could buy groceried online, what about teh perishables?! I think getting out of the house and doing that is goo dtherapy for me. I love to grocery shop. Plus I can people watch too. Evryone needs groceries so there's always a good variety of people out and about. I know everything can pretty much be done online, but I think I would only do some stuff online if I absolutely had too like if I was short on time.

I only buy "groceries" online if they are a specialized item or something that I can not get from my normal store. For instance if I wanted certain French cheeses or French pastries and I know of a place that I can buy them and have them shipped, usually you get next day delivery, then yes I buy groceries online.
As for my regular grocery shopping, No, I would not...Unless I happen to be sick and confined to my home because you never know the quality you will get. I don't want to buy a steak that the date to eat is up the next day the same with milk etc. because obviously when you let someone else do the choosing for you then if they have something that the date is up the next day or 2 you are going to get those products so they do not have to throw them away. Whereas If I choose the meat or milk for instance I am going to check the dates and get the latest date that I can find by looking through the meat, milk etc. by myself. And I want to choose my own fruits and vegetables, that way if one or more should happen to be spoiled when I get home then it is my fault.
I don't enjoy all of the carrying of groceries each week but I think it is much better than the alternative and I am use to it, I've been doing it all of my life so I see no reason to stop now.

I'd love to make use of the online ordering and delivery services offered by the Major Supermarkets that are 10 miles away from where I live...It would save me a 20 mile round trip,I wouldn't be taking extra time roaming the aisles with a trolley looking around for alternatives for out of stock items, and I wouldn't have to be tempted by impulse buying! Unfortunately,it seems though they're pushing the service for people in the area to make use of it,every time I check in on their website on the "Do We deliver to where you live",it always comes up "NO"! Anything that would be heavy or boxed or packaged would be fine for this method of shopping..Fresh fruit and veggies,I'd need to think it over what I'd want to chance ordering..nothing too squishy....

I have no problem with ordering stuff online..I regularly buy on Ebay and Amazon, and yesterday got a strimmer (Weed Whacker?!) from a catalogue place that offers home delivery..was well worth the delivery fee,for saving me the time, round trip, parking, and finding out if the thing was in stock without having to travel in there to check..I had to go shopping (24 hour shopping's good!) and inquired about the home delivery,as I'd picked up a flyer about it recently...the Guy knew nothing about it,but reckoned they didn't have the fleet of delivery vans it would likely take to service the town, let alone out where I lived..He recognised me as I'm in there regularly when it's quieter, and said he'd find out if there was any more news on it for my next visit!

What would be the shipping method? It would be cool especially for people that dont have cars. If it could be same day shipping because of perishables. I know you can already have milk delivered to your door. I have also bought asian food through online site. I would do it. Coz now i have to call a cab and that is about $10 extra.

I would rather shop that buy grocery foods online because you never know if the quality of the foods you'll buy online are good or bad. It is always best to shop than buy online so that we'll be assured of the things we buy. And also, to avoid blaming other people (the grocery man, etc.)
In my opinion, that is Happy myLotting!

The local grocery stores here do have on-line ordering with delivery. A friend of mine does it, but it's not available in my area (yet). She said that it's not very expensive and it saves her tons of time. She has 2 small children and it's not always easy scheduling a trip to the store with them. I'm not too sure about it though because a lot of my groceries are from the produce department and I'm not sure I want someone else picking out my fruits and veggies...
But, I do order most of my household products - cleaning and personal items - online. It is cheaper and I don't have to lug the stuff in!

yeah it does seem that it is only available on few places yet even in the US. but here it is already available on one big mall. but it is actually a very expensive place to buy groceries and much more expensive if you have delivered to your home. but i don't know though if it is actually online order or by just phone order. but still a home delivery service.

Hello hotsummer!
Shopping online or buying groceries online can be very advantageous. One thing for sure, we get to save a lot of time and energy. We can use our precious time doing something else. However, it is not that famous here in our country yet. There are stores that offer such service but aside from it is expensive, I still can manage to do these activities on my own.

I wished to buy groceries online. There was a shop in which we could order online or call them and order the products. They also used to give discount on the grocery bills.Once me and my mom sat online and made a list of things to buy.But later we never ordered from that place.Because we stay on the fourth floor without lift and the market is far away.Whatever comes to the door is a boon for us.

Hi, it's convenient and saves on driving and parking time. However online shopping and purchase of groceries is still not very popular over here. Moreover, I still prefer to go to the hypermarkets or malls to shop - it's a different feeling altogether. I'm able to see and feel the goods, especially fresh food and vegetables.

yes it is convenient but i agree that more people love buying their groceries themselves so that they can go around the stores and have some walk. i think that people love walking around the malls and groceries and they treat it more like fun than a chore.

Hi there`it depends on what sort of groceries I'm looking for,if we're talking about CD,DVD,Books,I would say I will buy them online as it'll save my time going out there and what's more,I will cost less~~
If for the hi-fi,cellphone that expensive things,I will definitely go to the real shops, try them, bargain the price~
In addition,I wish to buy cloths in the real shops as I can try them on other than see them in the screen~~wow~~
Have a nice day`~

I guess I'd be better off shopping offline. We can see the things directly. What do you think?

I agree with you sir! It's more convenient to shop by ourselves so that we would know the quality of the products that we're buying.

I think it may be a normal thing in the future but it will be little bit weird because ladies has the habit of checking the grocery and if they will buy it online then they may not get the desired one.
Even there might be the case that someone might give you some foul grocery.
Because I don't think grocery may be perfect till its expiry date if any printed on it.

yeah women love to get out and shop around. and so it is no big deal for women to go to the store and bring those heavy bags of groceries with them. specially for those who stays mostly at home. cause they have awful lot of time for it. and it is a good pastime actually.

Haha interesting, but i don't think i will want to shop the groceries online.Because if for certain food like fruits,we know the way of seeing that if the fruit is sweet or not,but if we buy online, the worker just grab some according to your order without looking at the condition. So i feel that i will prefer shopping groceries myself rather than online.

Playing catch up here lol If I had it my way, I'd do all my shopping online because I hate to go out and shop for anything. I just hate it. I go in and get what I need and get out. lol Most of the time my husband does the shopping because he likes doing it and he's good at it. If it didn't or wouldn't cost me a cent more then I'd do all my shopping online. Who knows, it just might come to that some day.

I prefer to go to the store my self and buy stuff especially groceries, but I did order them on line a couple of times once because I was sick and needed stuff but did not want to go out and shop, and once when the weather was really bad. I don't like driving in snow so I thought I would give it a try. I felt so sorry for the guy who delivered the groceries that I gave him a big tip. I like to buy books and movies and stuff on line because I can buy them used and save money.

true that you could do almost anything from the internet nowadays. It would be hassle free if even groceries would be done online as well. But for me, I would rather go the the mart and buy the foods myself. I'm usually picky when it comes to foods especially fruits and vegetables, which I can't assure when I buy those foods online. If it could assure that the food that they'll deliver would be the ones I really want then there's no problem at all :D

I used to in the past when I was having a hard time finding time to go to the grocery store to buy groceries wish you could buy groceries online like you can everything else. I know since I have started buying stuff online I do buy alot of things online because I seem to have a hard time finding time to go to the store. If buying groceries online that is something I probably would look into doing that.
