Honestly, I prefer writing English than speaking because I am not really that confident in oral activities. That is why I really would like to become a professional journalist or writer in the future. But I am also doing my best to be able to become a good speaker. How about you,do speak or write well in English?

I deffintley perfer speaking english then writing english because my spelling is horrible and I have a hard time spelling a lot of words wich is why I would perfer to speak english then to write it. But I also have a hard time speaking sometime because I do stumble on words wich sometimes gets embarassing especially speaking in front of a crowd.

both but i still prefer writing in English, i trained and worked in the call center environment before and for those who knows what a call center is then you know what i am trying to say LOL!
as for me, my vocabulary is limited orally speaking, but when writing in English it seems that i have a wide range of words compared to speaking English. maybe because speaking is a spontaneous process while writing in English have the time to select or choose the proper words that would fit in the sentence or thoughts.

I definetly prefer to speak english than write. I find speaking much easier. If you want to be a journalist then you need to learn how to speak english as that part of your job will be talking alot! But so far your english sounds good to me so your good to go.. All the best with that xx

For me, it would be both. ^_^
Speaking and writing are two good ways of expressing yourself. ^_^
If I am able to say it, I must be able to write it as well. ^_^

Hello again tracydee!!!
Like you, I am also towards writing the English more than speaking. In fact, I don't speak English with anyone. Only rarely I get to speak English. And that's why my oral English speaking is not good. Every people here use the local language and not all people know the English language. In one way, it is better to preserve our own language too.
When I was in school, we were compulsory to speak in English. And that time only in my life, I think I have spoken English language a lot. I can't speak as fluently as I write here in mylot. Just because I don't have the habit.
But the writing and listening in English is the daily thing. Every study in done in English language in college. And even the teacher mostly explain the things in the English language. So I get to write and write in English.
And so definitely, I am good at writing English than speaking English. I would love to make my English speaking fluent. But we feel odd as we don't have the habit of speaking it daily.
happy mylotting...

I too am more of a writer than a "professional orator". Cause every time i have to converse with someone, I get tongue tied, twisted, and what not. So I would prefer to stay in touch with people via email rather than communicating with them through phone.
