It isn't going ot be the same. At the rate it is going it is not going to be better. People elected Morial back into office (a HUGE scam) and he isn't doing much to rebuild the city and help the people trying to come back. There is not a large police force or enough firefighters (thankfully they just got a raise) and crime is starting to come back. There are people from out of state trying to claim gang areas for themselves now that the original criminals are gone. The school system is a sham as always. Most people from in the city itself are not going to return. I cannot blame them. (I kick myself daily for coming back). Funniest thing - New Orleans was rated the best city to move in and we are suppose to be getting a huge econmic boom....I am not holding my breath.

Ok.. I just wanted to know because I used to go to school down there.. Loyola University.. but I had to transferred and decided to stay here In Rochester NY... I've been down there 3 times since the hurricane.. The first time to pick up all my belongings... and that was a sad experienced it was extremely depressing. Then, I went one week after mardi gras.. and It was still sad.. most places in St. Charles and everywhere were still closed. But I went down there for Halloween Weekend.. and I was surprised on how well things were since the last time I visit. I miss the city soo much... and I'm glad I went down there for my first year of college. It was one of the best years in my life.
