Do you find yourselves shopping a lot less these days? I sure do. My IRA dropped a lot in the last several months, I'm watching my money a lot closer than I used to. I shop for some clothes at the thrift store and there stuff really isn't bad! I've gotten some cute clothes for only a dollar or two, and had compliment on them! Now when I'm in a regular store and see stuff, it boggles my mind when something is 15 or 20 dollars!!!

I dont think I am doing any less shopping than I ever have in the past. But I have always been a frugal person! I try to save as much money as possible no matter what the economy is like!
I do the same thing with the price of clothes. I generaly find most of my clothes on clearance in the off season. I dont change size very much and I know what I need when the season finishes. I cant believe how much money people pay for clothes! Especially because so many people already have a closet full!

I definitely haven't been shopping as much lately as I use to. My biggest reason is because I'm trying to help pay for my wedding (which is next month.) I'm also a teacher and will not be teaching this summer. So I need to save all of the money that I can.

I've always preferred buying secondhand (except for my Levis and Reeboks) but find myself less likely to even buy secondhand now. Mainly because my house is just way too cluttered already with secondhand junk. I have a small home business dealing in secondhand, too, which doesn't help the clutter since I keep my merchandise in the house (and large furniture often clutters poor hubby's garage). When I do buy retail, I head for the clearance racks first!

I'm really trying hard to do less shopping but it's always hard to resist buying something that you really want to buy. Right now, since I'm not in school and not out and about every day, I find it a lot easier to keep my money. However, because summer classes have started, I've had to spend a lot of money for the classes, as well as money for books and I still have not bought one book yet, and I need to do it ASAP. It's hard.

Yup, definately. I'm really thinking about every purchase i make these days, i can't even remember the last time i impulse purchased! Even cheap items i have to think twice about, becuase the amount youve spent adds up on several cheaper items. I'm trying to save where i can and only spend when i really need to.

I work in a mall so I'm practically 'malling' everyday. I used to spend my breaks going around the mall to check out whatever new merchandise our tenants have. But lately I take my lunch leisurely and concentrate on reading my books just so that I can keep myself from spending. So, my answer is yes, I really shop less nowadays despite the easy access.
