Hello mattwilkie, good day to you! Well, I just want to welcome you first here in the Philippines because buying a House means that you will stay here for a long time ago. If I wear you and you are looking a great safe sending or transfering funds here in the Philippines go to the most popular bank here that you know then send only 1/4 of the money in four process with this matter you will be sure that whenever you transfer you will no longer feel scared about the amount because that's only one fourth of the total amount. I hope you get my point, even though this process will take a much effort the good thing on it was the other part of the money is safe. I think the best way for you to do is to search in the internet to find the best way to transfer or send money.
By the way, As my experience when my uncle send me a dollars here in the Philippines he use the "Western Union" for the reason he believed that this sending money service is safe and not only that, here in the World there is so many branches that causes for it to be able to use anytime anywhere. When the money was already arrived at "Western Union", my uncle told me that I must show a valid I.D. and after showing my I.D. on Western Union, I can already get the money and give my signature. Well, that's my experience! As a sort of advice if you will choose a money service transfer be sure it is very easy to get and to talk with them for you to do not encounter some problem. I hope I give a good response here in this discussion! Thank you! Happy posting and happy earning to us!

Hi Jon,
Nice to meet you. Im always a bit cautious about banks. Ive known 3 people so far have money stolen by people in the bank. Most recently a friend lost P250,000 in a Robinsons bank account as his ATM card and pin never arrived but his account was cleared out. Maybe will look at HSBC as I think you can get a peso account organised in the UK for the Philippines which would allow access but also insured as a British bank account even though its in the Philippines (I think). I sent around P1million via Western Union last year and although reliable the exchange rates and cost of sending were very high in comparison to slower ways to send funds. BUT your right they are reliable and fast.

Wow! That amount of 250,000 of your friend which stolen was really high. I guess it's enough to buy a brand new car! May be your friend really have a bad luck with that matter, we dn not know stolen amount was only a blessing in disguise which may be your friend could be able to win in lotto. Well, honestly that was very sad. Thank you for agreing with me that the Union Bank is more reliable and more fast. Well, i hope with money transfer service there was a warranty on the money! Hehe . . . Have a nice day and Happy earning to all of us! good day and God bless!

Hello 24champ, good day to you! Me too, I already tried metrorem.co.uk and their service was really good and you are right about that the service of it was very low than Western Union. I think the reason why Western Union having a high service fee it's because they are popular to all people. By the way, nowadays because of financial problems we must save money so we must choose the affordable one! By the way,24champ I haven't heard that sunriseremit? Is it same with western union? I really do not have Idea on that because it's sounds new to my ear.

Hi,
Moneygram has too small a limit for me. Not sure about other countries but its limited in the UK to around £100 for a fee of around 5% for sending. Im looking at sending upto P3million this year so that wouldnt be practical for me due to the fee rate and number of transactions i would have to send.

You can choose Western Union ,Money gram or any .
I dont have the comission for these just telling
there are many. Just ask in your place if it is available there
in your country. You can have it through an acount number
or the best thing you is to ask query and canvass to your
place which the best one.

I find Western union a bit expensive aswell as having high fees the exchange rate is poor and now there is a collection charge in the Philippines.

Hello there, sending money in the Philippines we are using bank transfer, in HSBC they have a £5000 limit and it cost you i think £15-£20/transaction. You can do it online too and it takes 3-5 business day to reach there.
So why not try bank transfer it much safier specially when you are sending large amount of money.
cheers

Your first respondent is correct. Bank transfer is the easiest and most secure option - also if it's YOUR bank account you're getting from then they'd be more than happy to assist you with it. If it's your husband's or family member's account then you can simply suggest it to them and then they would know that they would simply have to contact their bank - customer service there is at least a hundred fold better than it is here in the Philippines.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!
