To me truth is more meaningful than God.God is a believe and illusion. But to face truth is very hard.To lie is very easy. But to tell the truth some times very risky. It may cause to death.Who can overcome this fear and tell the truth to me that persion is more pious than a worshiper of God.

To me, God and truth are one and the same. What I label as truth is actually God and vice versa. So, does it have to be one or the other? Can someone believe in truth AND God according to your view of the world? I ask because I feel that both are very important and actually indistinguishable for me in my life.

I'm with you on this one. God and truth are the same thing, though I also believe that God provides man with the opportunity to seek the truth. Allot of religious teaching places emphasis on faith and the idea of just believing in the divine. This is part and parcel of what it is like to be a follower. However, I believe that God is also the force behind things like logic and reason. The human intellect has an amazing ability to reason and deduce things and much of the scientific benefits that we enjoy today come from our ability to rationalise things. While quite a few people may disagree with me, I believe that God wants us to be rational people who search for knowledge. Our powers of reasoning a gift from the divine.

Honee you can believe in anything you like. It's our right to do so and I believe it is our duty to chose. I do not think that God and truth are synonomous, unless you personally think they are - there's the power of perception. Truth is perspective, fact is fact, God is faith, but if you believe God is truth then rock on. I would only hope that you'll temper your belief with logic. We are rational creatures with a great capacity for reasoning, why do we have it if not to make use of it. Just don't let anyone tell you you're wrong - what they believe began somewhere too.

There is no one universal truth anymore than there is one universal god. They are concepts that are shaped by experience, education and what is perceived as community norms. Your truth is not necessarily my truth and I, by the nature of things, perceive the gods as something different than you do.

If you are ready to confront the possibility that your truth may not be a real truth and your god may be an imaginary green goblin take the red pill and step through this door. http://www.philosophersnet.com/games/matrix/matrix.htm

Truth is often an abstract thing. Just think what our ancestors would say, if we told them about airplane, television, trips to the moon, etc. They would shear these things would never be. Which shows that what is truth today my not be so tomorrow.

Yes I agree. Truth changes from age to age. There is no absolute truth.

I agree with the other responses. I believe God is Truth. I see His handywork everyday in flowers, trees, grass, sky - everything around me. I believe He is real and not an illusion.

Thinking in this way you can only get satisfaction. You have to realize the reality.Only emotion and devotion can't do that.

To you, God may be an illusion. But I feel Him in my life everyday. I see Him in my life everyday. I am sorry that you feel this way.

No, your remarks did not hurt me, so don't worry about it. Everyone is entitled to feel the way they feel. I said that I was sorry for you because to me, it is truly a wonderful thing to feel God's presence in my life. I wish everyone could feel the way I do. It is a feeling beyond words.

I agree though I would not use the word "Illusion" because it implies willful deception. To me truth is more meaningful than God because for me truth equates fact and fact holds more sway than faith. Now I know that perception is powerful, probably the most powerful ability we humans have. But perception alone doesn't make anything real, it only makes it real to you. But fact is real to everyone wether you believe in it or not - gravity will pull you down regardless of what you believe. I have no negativity toward those who chose to believe, I believe in God too, but I think it's important to be honest about it - God is not a global/scientific reality because His existance can't be proven, but that doesn't mean He doesn't exist. Andhonestly, does it even really matter? If you believe in God that is all you need... But please, don't try to convince other people to believe because He's real to YOU... as without faith, He may as well not exist. Now, bring on the angry mob. lol

A person is a child of God whether they worship and believe or not. Believing has never been important to God. Really look around you. That is not what is going on! God is truth. You have facts and you have beliefs. Facts are truth and are always true. A belief might be true but isn't always.Beliefs are needed to cover the patch left for when all the facts are not known. Without beliefs we would lock up like my computer. I can not understand why everyone assumes that God is always a belief. To most I guess God is a belief. A belief can be true though. God will know longer be a belief when you actually find Him. Question is: Does anyone truly want to find Him. I have my doubts because if people did, they would no longer have beliefs. They would have facts.
