What is your Favorite Kind of Steak?

Everyone has different tastes. I cant imagine eating a steak that is well done. I know others who cringe at the thought of medium rare, let alone rare! Some people like their steak to have a little more fat for flavor. Others want a very lean cut. My personal favorite is a nice thick filet cooked medium rare to medium. That way the juices are still flowing. It isnt tough. I dont have to worry about biting into some gristle. Wrap it in a bit of bacon? Even better! I cant wait until we put our new grill together so I can set my husband to cooking! He is definitely my favorite chef when it comes to steak! What is your favorite steak? How do you like it cooked? Who do you like to cook it for you?

My favorite steak is preferrably still mooing. A thick fillet mignon is probably my favorite. I take steaks rare to medium-rare, but not any more done than that, or it is too done! We don't have a grill yet either. I am hoping we get one soon though, because I love me some grilled food!

I actually got a really good deal on a grill last November. We decided to wait until spring to put it together because we wouldnt be using it over the winter. Now we just havent had time! I cant wait to use it!

Any steak is good steak to me. I like mine well done with a lot of A1 sauce. Mushrooms and onions on top of it is good too. But A1 is really what makes the steak for me. I can't have a steak without it.

That makes me laugh a bit. I wont touch a steak that has A1 sauce on it! It completely ruins the steak for me! Give me the natural juices and flavor of the meat over that crap of A1 anyday!

I also love eating steak. You make me hungry right now. I like the Tenderloin Steak, I don't like my steak with fat like the Ribeye. I like it with Peppery flavor. I like it being cooked as medium rare as I like it tender and juicy, its juice oozing out from the meat itself. I cook my own steak to perfection and I don't like the steaks being served in a restaurant. I don't know but thats my preference. Yummy!

I like lean steak fat free cooking well done, so far the best steak i ever ate is my mother home make steak, it is a recipe no restaurant can ever come out with. But i don't consider restaurant cooked steak is below average , they are tasty too.

If I want a 'cheap' steak, then I usually go for a ribeye, medium rare. If my budget is bigger, then I get a filet mignon, medium. And I agree, the juices have got to be flowing! I've had dry steaks, and even if the flavor is good, its just not the same. Which is pretty much why I never try to cook the steaks myself, I'm just not that good at it. At a restaurant, though, you can almost always get a good steak, or at least send it back if it isn't.

I always fail at cooking my own steak, so I normally only have it from Applebees, medium, with their shrimp Parmesan on top. I used to have to eat everything well done, until I had medium roast beef, and it was the greatest thing I have ever eaten. Now I gotta have everything underdone.

I love prime rib cooked rare or medium rare. I only order that at a really nice resaurant though. My favorite to cook at home is a porterhouse on the grill. I have to have a nice thick cut and it is excellent.
