most parties that i've attended to are birthday parties. i usually bring gifts for the kids. i find it very lonesome for the part of the kids if they don't receive any from the guests. kids' happiness usually depends on all sorts of gifts and surprises. i feel like i should not deprive them of that. how about you?

yes, it's a good feeling having kids be happy with what we bring to them. we were once there and we know how does it feel when we were given such presents.

If I´m invited to a party, whatever the age of the person, I bring a birthday present. It can be a small thing like a flower or a small plant if it´s an adult. But I still like to receive presents and to give them. I also bring presents for everyone of my grandkids and for my daughters when I travel. Sometimes it´s just one of those earrings that cost $1. It doesn´t matter. What it´s importasnt is that I remembered.

well, there is where thoughtfulness comes in. the cost of the present doesn't really matter. it's always the thought that counts. i also believe that it's always better to give than to receive.

Yes I always bring gifts if the celebrant is a kid. When the celebrant is old enough or just my age, I just come and greet them or just explain to them why I have no gifts. I make it a point that I won't be embarrassed going there because I just bought some food or cake that is more practical compared to having difficulty choosing what item to buy as a gift. So I usually give every time there is a birthday. If feels good to make the celebrant feel the important day of his or her life by giving a birthday present.

yes, we do the same, when it come to kid's birthday, i always do bring gifts for them, because it's their happiness to receive colorful gifts especially when it's a toy..but when it comes to older people, i rarely gave gift to their birthday because i don't know what to buy for them, and it make me anxious that they might not like what i gave so i just give them greetings as well.
