I'm sure most people are familiar with the TV show on TLC called 18 and counting. Well you know the recipe they give on the show. Tatertot casserole. My family tried that the other night and it is DELICIOUS! We made ours in a smaller portion of course. lol. I highly suggest you try it. If you haven't seen this recipe on their show it is ground beef, followed by tater tots, and topped with a mixture of cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, and evaporated milk. We also put shredded cheddar on ours. You bake it in the over for an hour. Yummy! Do you have a favorite recipe that you learned from watching a television show?

You know, hearing that recipe wouldn't make me think it would taste good. But I've had dishes before that I thought would be gross because I knew there ingredients, yet they were absolutely divine. I don't know if I'll try it because I am just cooking for me. I'm not sure how it would be as left overs. Do you think if I refrigerated the leftovers they would still taste good and not soggy the next day? I have tried recipes based on watching something from television. A particular instance comes to mind. I had been watching The Early Show on CBS. This was some years ago when I still lived with my parents because I was so sick. Well, that morning they showed how to make 6 different types of chicken soup with just the broth from one pot of chicken. You know, take the broth from the one pot, put the chicken in it, and then for each type of chicken soup, I was supposed to put in different spices and everything else. Well, for some reason I thought this was the greatest idea in the world. I thought this is so cool! I can make dinner for my parents, and we can eat off the different chicken soups for several nights. So I wrote the ingredients down for my mom to get at the store, and she did. Well, I did make it. But I only had enough broth for three of the six kinds of chicken soup. So I used store bought for the other three. The ones with store bought broth were disgusting, I thought. My parents acted like it was wonderful, but I told them both it was okay because I could taste how bad it was myself! But the first three I had made were delicious! So I was happy I had tried it. I was surprised by how much work it was because all six were to be made at the same time...I'm not sorry I did it, but I haven't done anything similar since.
