From the beginning there is an attracting start, but after seeing the end of season 5, I have to say honestly, this season is not as good as I expected. Edie's leaving makes me feel sad. Orson's selfish makes me feel surprised, and in the end Bree has something with Susan's ex-husband, I feel so ridiculous. To Tom I must tell him please grow up quickly. I think that will be Susan and Mike in the church which make me happier, but not enough. I hope Season 6 will bring me some big surprise in the srcipts.

I was massively disappointed with season 5.
The plot was just boring
and there were loads of pointless or "flashback" episodes, that had no connection with the main plot at all. And the finale was the worst finale so far :(
I hope they sort out season 6 :)

The only part that I'm really upset about is Bree and Orson. I hate that they're making them fight and preparing to divorce. And I hate how they've written Orson, this season.
Orson has become selfish, crazy, manipulative, and controlling. Where's the Orson I loved from past seasons? :( The kleptomania was kind of odd, and I found it out of character, but I still kind of understood why he was doing it. Then, he tried to make Bree give up her company, and I got really mad. It's what she's most proud of. I don't understand why he'd need to tear her down, to build himself up. And he wants to force her to stay in the marriage? How is that making her love him again?
I hate that Bree wants a divorce, I don't like that she wanted to cheat her way into getting everything in the divorce, and it really bugs me that she's cheating with Carl. Really? Carl???

I didn't think that I would like this season because of the five year gap. In the end, I was intrigued every week. I do hate that Edie is gone:( I love Bree letting that bad girl come out and having an affair with Susans ex. Tom has always been so immature, so he isn't surprising me at all.
I just hope that Mike is marring Susan and not Katherine. Since they didn't show us, I won' t be surprised if it is Katherine.

I agree, at the beginning, I was confused about the 5 year gap. but in the end it was great. It left many story lines to to continuously unfold. Each main character, had so many things that happened to them in that 5 years that the show could build on it.

I couldn't agree more with you. I too was very disappointed by Season Five. It seems like they wasted the opportunity to do something really exciting after they jumped forward five years. That was supposed to press the reset button and allow the show to develop new storylines, but it seems to me that all we got was a repeat of what had happened before. None of the characters moved on with their lives - except Orson who, as you say, started acting completely out of character. Sorry to say, but I'm seriously wondering whether to bother with Season Six at all.

I thought Season 5 was great. The story line of Dave and how it built up to the end where he wanted to kill MJ was great. I am glad that Mike went to try and save them. I did not like seeing Mike with Katherine though. I hope it is not them in church or I will be disappointed.
