Hi there! I would like to know your opinion. Which is a better site that you can earn from -- Helium or AC? I haven't tried AC yet because it doesn't give upfront payment to non-US residents. I have started with Helium but am having problems with achieving a rating and writing star. I now have 1 rating star but no writing star. And I think that it takes too much work to get stars and maintain them. How about you? Please share your experiences about both. Thanks!

I have not tried AC but I have been writing at Helium for more than a year now. I have achieved a lot there, with good payouts every month. I know some people do better at AC and prefer it because you do not have to rate there. It depends on how much effort you want to put into earning money. Helium has enabled me to sell articles and it has helped me to make money elsewhere, from what I have learned about keywords and content writing. From what I know of AC, if you only write for income from page views you can earn a little, but you still need to spend time promoting your articles. You benefit more writing for Helium when you view it as a long term project, and use it to build up a big list of articles that go on generating income for as long as you keep participating. You are required to maintain at least one rating star to qualify for daily revenue. With writing stars you also get upfront payments. Anyone can take part in contests and submit to the Marketplace.

Wow! How I wish I can achieve as much as you have with Helium. Was looking into your profile and you really know how to write. I am still new at helium and am finding out that it wasn't as easy as I thought. I am juggling two part-time home-based jobs which is currently leaving me with no time to visit helium. I guess I just need to learn to manage my time properly so that I can still write and rate at Helium. Thanks for your response!

Yes Marina321, articles published on the Helium site are non-exclusive. You can select non-exclusive rights at AC and publish on both sites. Many people do this.

Can you submit your articles to both sites? I wonder...

Around the time I hooked up with Associated Content, I checked into Helium and wasn't impressed. I'm not sure if its the same now but those commas instead of decimals used in describing payment threw me. AC still offers some upfront pay assignments, just not like they once did. I've been with them since 2006 and learned a lot. I don't know if I'd recommend for a beginner because of the lack of paying assignments. I would recommend textbroker.com. They have assignments with less of a wordcount and their payout is $10. Best

Thanks for the response. I am currently with helium and am having a hard time earning rating and writing stars. I guess I need to spend more time there that I thought. I haven't seen textbroker.com. I might as well check this out also. Thanks again!

I actually prefer Associated Content. I have gotten about 20 dollars or a little over that a month from performance payments. I have been on helium for a few years now and i am not happy with them and spend more time and energy here on mylot and on Associated Content. The performance payments are worth it as well. it takes a little while to get to the point where you will get 1.60 per 1000 views, but its worth the time whereas I don't think helium is.

Thanks for your response! I am still thinking of signing up at Associated Content. I just started out with Helium. Why don't you like it at Helium?
