I agree with you 110%. In my opinion, cars are a luxury. Riding a bike is much better, for the pocket book but also your health. Some people may need a car if they are disabled, if their work place is far away and if they have kids. Having a car simplifies things for the most part. It is convenient and handy to have. Alternate modes of transportation are also a benefit to our environment. For myself personally, I think I could live without a car. I want to eventually and have been trying to mold my life so that I may without causing any inconveniences for me. It would save me a bunch of money for gas, repairs and insurance, that's for sure. How about you, do you drive a car?

i also don't drive a car as you. i always walk although i have a bike. i think my runing is faster than biking. i don't have a car even can't drive a car. but i don't have a plan to buy a car . i will use it if my commpany give me a car for free also with the oil free. but i am afraid the environment will be more polluted if i drive a car.

yes car is a necessity for me and i can't live without it, so i don't think that it is a waste much money of mine. i think a regular check up of any car is needed and if you are active doing so then your car will not waste your money.

Hello friend. I don't have a car of my own yet though I want to have one. But it is ok for me not to have one because I don't think that I need to use it as I can ride my bike for saving more money for oil. If I really get one, I will have it make more money without just using it for personal use. I would like to have it for rent service for making some money.

i can say so, maintainance, diesel fuel, tires, annual registration and so forth... nowadays it's not practical to have a car, first using cars adds to the emission of green house gases, also it adds up to the volume of vehicle in the streets. and the cost of crude products is going up endlessly. we had sold already our family car because of maintainance, spare parts prices are going up as well.

My car is absolutely necessary. I live too far away from work to ride a bike or walk. If we moved closer to my work, then my husband wouldnt be close to his job! There arent any local positions open for me, so I am stuck driving right now. I agree there are a lot of advantages for not having a car. No gas money. No maintainence costs. No insurance. It would definitely be a lot cheaper! But I would never give up my car completely. I want to make sure I can get to my mom's house any time I need to. In case she needs something or even just to visit. I also cant walk to all of the stores that I need. I think it would be great if everyone walked a little bit more, but society has definitely evolved to make cars a necessity!
