Just a lttle while ago Maggie passed away right here next to me on my bedroom floor. My neighbor was very kind and moved her body for me, so now she is wrapped in a blanket in my garage until my husband comes home and can bury her. SHe was the best dog in the whole world. My heart is in pieces. Good Bye, Maggie, I will always love you.

Some people just don't understand that we as pet owners have rights too. We need to be with ALL those we love, two legged or four when illness hits. So I don't blame you Kitty for wanting to be with your beloved Maggie until the end. I'll bet dollars to donuts she felt the same way and it comforted her to be with you. Chin up sweets, and I'll have Gabs add her pic to the pet memorial page on Gissi's website. She'll be forever in your heart............

I did the best I could for her. SHe would not have survided the trip tothe vet so I would have been putting my children at risk by attempting to get us all to the vet and drive through a sea of tears only to have her die in the car instead of in my room surrounded by the people and animals who love her.

I agree with Little_Stormy, you've been a great mom to Maggie and, most importantly, she knew that she was loved right up to the end. It's so sad that this has happened...and I'm so sorry. I've thought about her and you every day since her fisrt episode and prayed for her every night. You were so supportive and encouraging while my Dyna and I did battle with parvo and I will never forget your kindness. I will never forget Maggie either. I think it's a pretty safe bet that she will live on in the hearts of lots of folks who never met her but who feel that we know her and share your sorrow.

Thank you for all the support. You know, I am so used to seeing her in her spot in my bedroom that I keep "seeing" her there out of the corner of my eye, but of course, when I turn to look she's not there and I'm broken all over again.

It is terribly heartbreaking, but at least she is not suffering any more. I hope she is now able to play and romp around in a better place, without pain or sufferance. Big HUGS to you, though, for your loss.

Thanks, it looks like she'll have company. Her freind, one of our old cats who was very old passed away just a little while ago. I had a feeling he'd be joining her. Now my poor little dog has lost Maggie who was like a mother to him and his best freind, Box the cat in just a few short days. The little dog howled over the loss, and he's been guarding the cat just like he did the dog until my husband can bury him. My little dog is so sad! All the animals held vigil as Box the cat crossed over.

Thank you. She held on until I told her that my dad was waiting for her and that it was OK to go to him. I miss her so much!

So sorry to hear, it is always tough to lose a loved one. My vet made a cast of my cat's paw print for me when she passed last year, like one of those hand print things that kids do in kindergarden. I keep it with a photo to look at when I miss her. Maybe you could have something like that for your Maggie.

My husband took off her collar and hung it up in a place of honor in my house. THanks for the kind words.

Thanks, Stormy. his is just awful, Maggie was like a mother to our little dog, Randy and Randy is even more devastated than me. He keeps going to her body in the garage and barking for her to wake up, and then is just so sad. Tonight is going to rough, all three dogs always slept in a pike on top of eachother next to my bed. The other big dog, Oreo s sad too, so are the cats - Maggie mothered over all of them. My little girl keeps coming up to me with tissues to dry my tears.
