Shout to whom and why?

Well, i have been to a crowd area where different people where being presented, It is like a contest. As what i have observed, most people only shout to good looking, handsome/beautiful and sexy person. And i hate it somewhat,. In that group of people i have also found some that are talented enough but the crowd don't usually praise them. Is it really important to have the looks than the skills already? If you are there, who are you gonna cheer with, the good-looking or the talented.?

ok, i don't really realize what you are talking about! i guess you're talking about karaoke or something, and you are saying that people are applauded not for their talent but for their looks, is that it?
if so, it's quite common nowadays! unfortunatelly, our society is very fixated in external beauty and forget that what really counts is what lies inside. that's why sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you try, you'll only succeed if you have the looks, especially if you are a woman. just turn you tv on mtv or any channel like that, and you'll see, the music isn't great, but they all look like gods.
apparently they are sellng their body with those skimpy outfits, and not their music, their talent.
the wonders of the modern world...
