Prs. Obama has the nerve to tell Americans that we should be driving more fuel efficient cars, when his POV is a Chrysler 300C SUV. He's so proud of his "Cadillac!", but even though it was a custom job just for him, he never once insisted it be "Eco Friendly".
So Mr. Barrack, instead of using Mafia tactics to force the auto industry to do your bidding, and force us into tuna can cars... YOU FIRST!
What a hypocritical lump of filth!

But what you don't seem to understand is all that he is trying to force down our throats does not apply to him or his family. He is the king, he does as he pleases and forces you to take the tuna can, something he wouldn't be caught driving or putting his family into. Yes you first get rid of the big car and get a tuna can then the rest of the usa won't feel so bad driving our tuna cans. if it good enough for the president then it good enough for us, way I see it.

I think this a classic case of developing class warfare within a society that was above the fray. He is repeating European history which could result in a return to the dark ages. It sad that we can not be accepting of people who choose to do something different and not force our opinions down other peoples throats. If we have an opinion our actions must, by all means, support that opinion.

He can't force me into a tuna can car, I don't have a car. I have learned to adapt to life without one and I like it that way. I save a lot of money and get plenty of exercise.
Correct me if I'm wrong please, but I think flying Air Force One and other jets around tall buildings in NT City or any city, terrorizing helpless Americans was a bit hypocritical too.
I forgot how many millions that cost not to mention the cost to the hearts and minds of the people who thought they were actually going to have to live through 911 again...
The government has to cut costs. They are the biggest waste of money in this country today.

How can you say that? What has Obama done, but attempt to clean up the mess of George Bush?
Please, I need some evidence.
Pharmecutical companies have backed off, willing to work with America on prices? Who can do that?
I mean, look at everything that has happened these last months, and explain to me from where you draw your basis for comparison. Who are you comparing him to? Surely not our last president.
Geez.

Hi Pit,
Obama is pro-abortion and I have heard him bash the Holy Bible. He is not someone I will support by any means! He is ungodly and downright scary!
I have a friend who works with the CIA and heard one of his speeches and says that he just wonders when and where our next US attack will be!
What our country truly needs is the Lord. We have strayed away from God and now we are just beginning to pay for it. We are reaping what we've sown.
We need a godly President. Someone who has the courage to stand for what is godly and right.
God bless!

You all claiming Obama is taking away Godliness is something you need to reconsider. What about Luke 17:21: “The Kingdom of God is within you,” does this have any meaning to you? Because if it did you would not get so wound up finding faults in others and the reason your reality is went a wry and realize that your paradise is within yourself and you will not get it from politics. I believe this was Jesus' same message to the Philistines.

He switched to a hybrid back in 2007. I do believe his former vehicle is floating around in the market somewhere. Ironically, he got rid of it AFTER he drew criticism about his hypocrisy for owning such a vehicle and blaming environmental problems on gas guzzling vehicles.

Exactly, when he was driving vehicles of his choice, they were gas guzzling SUVs. It wasn't until he was called on it that he started driving Hybrids, and that was only to keep up appearances.

He used to drive that car....but now he has a Ford Escape Hybrid. And is flown by Air Force One, and the like.
People learn, and not all people are hypocrites. Besides, a Cadillac...
Why keep attacking the President, hasn't he done pretty well with the cards he was given?
Had Bush done his job............
Mafia tactics?

No, he hasn't done well at all. From the first he set out to take complete control of all of us as a dictator. None of his solutions a real solutions. They only give the government way more control than it is constitutionally supposed to have.

Flown by Air Force One. Yep that's a lot cheaper than the gas guzzling SUV.
Done well? For who?

His 300C from the factory gets between 17 and 25 mpg, I'm sure it's much less since it has custom modifications. I agree with his stance on the issue, but he should set an example. The auto industry had vehicles in the 1950's that were getting over 50mpg, they were purchased by the oil giants and never heard about again, if you search in depth online you can find some info about them, I don't care to do the research again. If they could get 50mpg 60 years ago, why can't they get more than an average of 25 in today's technologically advanced society.
There was a news story about 6 months ago of a mechanic in Ohio, I believe, that had modified his mustang to get more than 500 miles per gallon, I have not been able to find anything on that since, if it was a scam or if was real, why can I not find anything on it?
I'm not big on the conspiracy theory's, but sometimes...well...

I heard somewhere that that guy in Ohio was threatened and so he moved out of the country. Not sure about all the facts, though.

I guess he goes by the motto, "Do as I say, not as I do," or he believes that America is not a Republic but a monarchy with him as their King. He should be showing by example. Well he is showing by example all right. He is showing that he can break the rules and do what he wants, but if anyone else follow hs lead, God help them.

Hi Ted,
I agree he is hypocritical, but it was the same before he was elected, and people just refuse to see what's right in front of their eyes. It's not just the car being a gas guzzler, while he is "encouraging" us to drive the tuna cans -- that's bad enough. But the worst part is that he plans to "encourage" us by raising the prices so high we will have no choice.
Same with electric/gas to heat/cool our homes. He has stated -- long before election -- that he PLANS to force us all to cut back and conserve by raising prices to the point that we have no choice. (He said he'll make sure the poor elderly can get help -- what about the lower middle class who can't qualify for help?)
Yet, his first week in office, the Press Secty was saying how HOT it is in the Oval Office, because you know, Obama is from Hawaii, and so he likes it HOT.
He also supports public school and refuses school choice, except when it comes to HIS kids, who go to private school -- only the best.
See, I think he is absolutely RIGHT to send his girls to a private school for security as well as education reasons. But I don't see why he wants to withhold that opportunity to those of us who can't afford to send our kids to private schools. Why must we be the ones to "support" the failed public schools with our children being the sacrifice?
Could it be that he wants to keep us down?
After all, has there ever been a dictator, socialist, or communist government that did not save the best for the leaders, while the people suffered with "equality"?

Para, I hate to tell you this but the Chrysler 300C gets pretty good gas milage, and even the Cadillac isn't to bad. The fact is that Bush made it easier for rich CEO's to buy expensive SUV's by increasing the amount of money that you could write off for a vehicle. This was ment to be used to purchase trucks for businesses to use to do business. Instead, it was used to purchase expensive SUV's for the CEO with every bell and whistle you could imagine in it. Today, those SUV's are half of the price they were just two years ago, and no one can afford to buy one. The American people, and the tax code put the big three where they are today, but we can never take any blame for anything we do. We only blame someone else for it, so we can sleep at night.
If you listened to his speech today you would agree 100% with what he wants to do. Please Ted, give me four reason why we should continue to fund countries that support terrorist, and use the money they make off of selling us oil to fund terrorist groups. I can't wait to hear this Ted.

Why keep buying foreign oil when we have plenty of oil and natural gas here in the US? Answer that!

Because it isn't economical to drill unless the price of oil gets over $80.00 a barrel. Right now you have oil companies that are storing oil in the gulf of Mexico because they can't make any money with oil at it's current price. With all of the cost of drilling, refinning, production, and shipping, you can't make money (according to the big oil companies). There is your explanation Ted. Any questions?

he is just a typical; world leader , they know how to tell people what to do when they themselves will never want to bend to the rules, world leaders drive the best cars and the use up the most fuel yet they do not want to realize this, Africa leaders are the biggest culprit of this crime, they spend more money buying fuel for their cars
