Are you in favor of gay marriage?

I have my mind pretty made up on the subject, but i would like to know your views on the topic! Gay marriage, is it okay? Do you have a more traditionalist view of matrimony or are you open to the argument that love is love? Is it a sacred union between a man and a woman, so they can produce offsprings and rase them with love, or is it just a matter of two people wanting to spend their lives together? Is man-man or woman-woman passion and love the same as a heterossexual couple? Or do you think there are differences?

Well you know this is a very touchy subject but you want me to be honest so I will be. I am not for gay marriage at all! To me I love all people but that lifestyle is not safe nor something I want my kids to see around them either. If we make it legal everywhere than they will think to live like that is okay and to me it is not. I even have gay friends but this is how I feel about it. Take care and happy mylotting to you as well.

you are quite right, it is a very touchy subject, and should be handled with care. however, i do not understand one of your arguments, you say that a same gender couple living as in marriage, or actually married, is not okay. why is that?

No, it is not ok. God created marriage to be between a man and a woman. That is the way He intended for it to be. We cannot and will not get by with trying to redefine marriage! God will judge as the Bible says. Our country is in such a mess and I believe it is because we have ignored God and His Word, the Bible. We are just beginning to reap what we've sown.

So have you not heard of something called separation of church and state? Want to redefine your argument without throwing this notion of a god within in when there is no solid proof that he even exists otherwise there wouldn't be so many different religions and atheists out there... You can't. Ok then.

I want to obey God and do what is right in HIS eyes, not society's. God will judge. He will have the final say. May God bless! ~Spring

In a sense they originally kind of did when setting down morals - but you can break morals away from religion very easily. But many things relating to god have been added later into our laws after they were created. It isn't a law, but an example is the Pledge of Allegiance - when made it didn't have the phrase under god in it, but later on it was added.

Live and let live. This is America for goodness sake. I am not gonna tell someone else who to love, nor do I want anyone dictating to me whom to love. Why don't people mind their own business? As a mother of 3 grown kids, I can tell you, the more you tell them something is wrong the more they want to do it.

First of all I would like to say that this is a very good topic to discuss on. I support gay marriage. As you have already mentioned, there should not be a bar for whom to love and whom to be with. Being gay is not a bad thing. When highly literate person say something bad about a gay person it shocks me. Its not that persons fault that he or she is gay. Its just a genetic disorder. Just think what they go through being trapped in boy body when mentally you are a girl. Gay marriage should be allowed. Views of people will always differ but lets face it they didn't create human beings which are gay God did. And it would be like going against His judgement. Anyhow, I would like to read what others think.
