Sound like an easy job?? I couldn't do it! How many people pray for help?? ALL OF THEM?? When times are good, we sit back and enjoy the ride. When adversity hits, we have to think, study, plan, analyze, and grow in so many ways along the journey. Our greatest lessons are learned through adversity. WHY ARE SO MANY ASKING GOD TO TAKE ADVERSITY AWAY?? GOD IS TRYING TO TEACH!! I wouldn't have the patience to hear it all, prayer, after prayer, after prayer. Maybe tonight we ought to give God the night off. BE EXCITED OVER YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE!!!! What do you think???

First your God creates all sorts of horrors and then he does not not like it when people pray. Why did he even bother to create any of us?
Your God is a perfect nut case. Any way, this is you speaking and not your God. Your ideas, your beliefs, your narrow views

@bird123 The discussion was about prayer and my response was in response to that. I called God a nut case and not you. It seems you identify yourself with God and thus mix things up
Since your comment is not intune to my response,in fact, it is not even in tune with your own discussion, I do not wish to write further here. No argument here !

Be Excited over your next challenge!!! See where it takes you!! See what you Learn!! See how you will Grow!! Show the world how capable you really are.
Brains win in the end. Stretch yours to the limit. Feel the joy when you Win!!! Are you sure you are unable to choose Happiness for yourself?? It has always been in your hands!!
You might think what I say is crazy from a nut case, however if you would actually listen instead of fight and rebel against everything that comes your way, you might Discover things can get better for you.You are going to Discover so much what I say for yourself, in time, anyway. Why not sooner and make your life better?
I know. You must muddle through on your own. I do understand this as well.

@Bhurishrava How do you determine that God doesn't like it when you pray?
Is God really a nut case? Maybe there is Method to the Madness.
Is having it made the only way you can see God in a different light???

God can use adversity to teach but it is one of the worst ways because we aren't listening or communicating with Him. We get into our own adversity and then we go running to God because our way didn't work. God wants us to always communicate with Him. He loves us and loves to hear from us. A parent loves their children and loves to hear from them. Why should God be any different. One of the best things to tell God is that we love Him. I have learned that it is much better to be walking with God before the challenges show up. He guides us through in a much easier fashion.

I don't need a problem to learn. Learning is fun if the world's system hasn't tainted it! Our minds should always be open to new things that God teaches us everyday through prayer, reading His Words, Praising Him, etc. God has taught me so many things over the years in advance of any problem heading my way. Then the problem comes and I already have the answer. It is fun to walk into the library or a bookstore and ask God to guide me to what He wants me to learn. That is only one example. It becomes so much fun when you put your hand in His and let Him lead you.

So you are telling me that you have all the answers to all your problems before they arrive?? Hmmmmm??? Look around you. Knowledge is not given. It must be discovered. If all knowledge was just given, you would not have wisdom. Wisdom is learned through the struggle to attain knowledge. It is the only way. God, like all parents, wants all their children to be able to stand on their own two feet.

i had my share of trials and adversity though not directly given by God but only allowed by God. as many of those trials are those that i brought to myself because of wrong decision. but GOd in his wisdom allowed me to make my own decisions and mistake and is using that teach me valuables lessons in life. But God does not want me to suffer those . though sometimes GOd give trials directly. but most things i had are more brought by myself and i don't blame. though many times i had wished that GOd could not be so respectful on my decision and shuold had intervened so that i would have more easy life now. cause i make poor decisions.

Ah yes, but would you have the WISDOM you have today without the bad choices and consequences. It's not about feeling good. It's about LEARNING. I am so glad you wrote this comment. It is the point I was really making. Never feel alone. We all learn in this way. You are very special! Thanks!

Hey i ever watch about this in the movie before, if I am not wrong the title was "Bruce Almighty" staring Jim Carry and Morgan Freeman, it is about movie that someone that fell unsatisfied about his live and protest to god. Yeah this is about our fate to god. Being god is not possible by any human being. God cannot always except our prayer, maybe because we are not suit in the future about what we want.

You are correct. The name of the movie is "Bruce Almighty". I think that it was a perfect example of walking a mile in another persons shoes, even God's.

This reminds me of that movie with Jim Carrey, "Bruce Almighty." Did you ever see it? It was so funny. This discussion reminds me of when he is doing God's job, and all of the prayers of the world come to him through email. He's got billions of them, so he just sets it to answer them all with a "yes." It completely makes a mess of the world! It gives you a glimpse of what life would be like if everyone got what they prayed for! It would be a nightmare! LOL

This I believe is a typical case of a "Bruce Almighty" scenario. Like in the movie, Bruce thought he could take the easy way out, but ultimately it turned out to me a major catastrophe. In short it's humanly impossible to listen to the prayers of the teeming millions, let alone answering them. It's better to leave things the way they are. We need to do the praying and God needs to do the answering. Period.

Yes of course. Either way you see it, its the same. If you think the Christian way then our free will is for us to take our destinies in our own hands. As per the Hindu way, our Karma sets the tone for our afterlife and Karma is in our own hands...much like the 'as you sow, so you reap' thing. So why bring God into it? Afterall the poor fellow has been much maligned and misunderstood and misinterpreted over the centuries...he genuinely needs a break.

If there were a god (IMO) then no I wouldnt want to be her/him etc...I'm quite happy just puttering along in life and doing my own thing but to be "responsible" for millions of ppl etc naw I'll pass thanks....LOL I'd probably be one of the laziest gods ever known to man/womankind LOL

After watching the movie Bruce Almighty of Jim Carey, I never dreamed or wanted to be God at all. Being God or playing God is a tough act. Just watch the movie if you think otherwise.
As an almighty being, I don't think God will ever get tired of hearing our prayers though. He prefers hearing us whine and talk to him for awhile rather than being ignored at all. He even wants us to talk with him what our hurts are so he can start working for the healing.
I like your idea of giving God a break. But let's not give God the night off. Instead, let's start thanking and praising him for all the things he has done in our lives. As for the next challenge, there's no need getting excited over it. Adversities are always hurtful things so we don't look for them in life. They only come actually when we don't want to learn our lessons the easy way or if the devil wants us for himself that he'll do everything to win us in his side.
