Pizza sandwiches

Have you ever made a pizza sandwich? My son requested one in his lunch today. It was basically a sub roll with pizza sauce, pepperoni, and shredded cheese. He loved it, but he said a few kids told him it was weird. Not too much different than a spicy Italian at subway really.

cheese is very good on the pizza, but for me, I would not like to have only cheese. In fact, I never have only cheese, at least, I have pepperoni. Never nothing and just plain cheese. My sister loves cheese, and she would love to eat one hundred of those cheese all pizzas.

I have never heard of that, but it kind of sounds like something my kids have eaten in a Lunchable. I have never had a sandwich like that, but I have made English muffin pizzas several times.

I have done the English Muffin Pizzas before. I like them. My son does not like the pizza lunchables. I got him one before. He did not like the crust.

I have never heard of it but you are right....when you go to subway you can get the Italian sandwich with pepperoni on it and pizza sauce....if he likes it then it doesn't matter what others think....he might start a new trend!

Never thought about making one. Sounds good though. Never had the Spicy Italian at subway. Guess I should try that too.

Hi. lilybug. I have never heard of a pizza sandwich before at all. I have seen pizza sub rolls though. My husband used to buy this. It came with mozzarella cheese. It tasted okay. I don't think that your son's sub roll is weird at all. I think that it is very unique and I am sure that it has tasted very delicious.

Oh my gosh, pizza sandwiches are very good. I bet the other kids called him weird because they were jealous. You can now buy Pizza Subs and Subway, and here in Australia, they are $7 subs, for a foot long. I believe the U.S. has it $5 dollar foot longs. Subway is very healthy, and sandwiches for school are very healthy, I would love to take a Pizza sub to school everyday, because one, I love pizza, and two, you get to pick what is inside it.

I've never actually eaten a pizza sandwich. I've never really eaten a meatball sub either which is kind of the same thing. However, I admit it, I'm pretty game when it comes to trying new foods. I'm not really turned off by anything unless it's made with something that I really do not eat. So I'd probably be willing to try it.

I usually see these with just meatballs actually. I never really eat them though because my family is prone to heartburn. But it does sound good and I would probably try it in a heartbeat and heartburn be scorned. lol. I may have to remember this for a quick fix in the future. Now, do you toast it in the oven? Just curious.

I have never had a pizza sandwich before, but I think anything you like can be made into a sandwich. Your son, like pizza sandwiches, and it does not seem weird to me. Pepperoni, sauce and cheese, what's the problem, it's meat and cheese. I have had just lettuce and tomato in a sandwich. That's the great thing about sandwiches, you can make whatever you like.

we don't have oven. but still we make our pizza. but we don't put the dough we buy from the groceries on oven. instead we just put it in the microwave with the toppings on it already. it still taste good. but quite expensive to do them and so i prefer to buy them outside at least it is just a little more expensive but taste much better though.
