For those who are working now, have you ever ask this question to yourself? Are you really happy and enjoying your current job? How about your boss or manager? Are you enjoying your job because of the people around you or your boss are nice? Or it's the other way round, you enjoy the job because of the work itself?
Actually i've a friend, who's working in the same group as me.I've been always listening her complaining of our boss, although me myself haven't see any sign of our boss treating her badly. Just don't understand why she dislike him so much, lol. Perhaps she just don't like his style or don't like him to be our boss..

This is an interesting discussion. I do not really like my boss. Basically, I cannot adapt myself to her style after almost 5 years working under her. She does not assign tasks to us directly but rather ask us to volunteer in taking up the available tasks. Some people might like it, but well, for those who never volunteer, it means that they never need to do anything?
I quite like my job as a programmer for the first few years but not really now. The main reason is I started to get tired in learning new things. In programming world, one can never stop picking up the new languages.
To conclude this, I would say that whether I like my job or not, it has nothing to do with the people around me!

Oh that's a quite interesting comment from you too, thanks. :)
I see, your boss have her different style of management and tasks arrangement. That'll seem unfair on the first look, since the task is for those who volunteer. How about for those who do not volunteer? How is she going to judge the employee's performance? Programming jobs can be challenging, because you need to keep update from time to time with the latest information or computer languages. I believe it's interesting, though it's tiring. Hope you enjoy your work, good luck to you. :)

I enjoy my job so far, i am that type of person who will quit if i am not happy with my work, i will not keep on complaining it but make decision to end my unhappiness. Unlike many workers, work is something i have to like in order to do well n happy, if anybody is the company continue to get on my nerve, i will let him know no matter boss or co-worker, so no unhappiness and misunderstanding exist between us.

Yeah, i'm so agree with you that to be happy and enjoy is one important factor at work. There'll be meaningless if the working environment is not comfortable for us or we can't work happily. Misunderstandings or uncomfortable feelings have to be opened up and discussed (better if have the open-door policy), this is good to have better interaction and understanding among each others.
Thanks for your comment. :)

Oh that's good that you're enjoying your work now. Teaching is fun, i think, and yet it can be challenging. I like teaching too, it gives me sense of satisfaciton and i can feel that i'm contributing more directly to the community.
Thanks for your comment. :)
